We had a most enjoyable stay at this chic most delightful hotel. The spanish guy who checked us in was very chic too and most professional. We had a king size room which had lots of space and a very comfortable bed. The shower was good also and the room was also brightly lit being able to read a book no problem as most hotel rooms have very poor dull lighting! We had a very nice dinner in the bar with a large choice on the menu and breakfast the following morning in the restaurant and bistro.
todo comentarios » I have stayed here a number of times on business. The rooms are very clean and comfortable and are beautifully decorated. The bathroom suites are 'old fashioned' but all coordinate with each bedrooms colour scheme. I personally think it works really well. Having stayed in 5 different rooms so far, I was always intrigued to see the style of each room! The dinner menu is very affordable...try the Buccleuch burger...it is delicious. Final dinner orders are taken at 9pm but the kitchen is very flex. The food was excellent and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Our dog was welcomed by the staff. We hope to stay again when we come for a fishing break. Comfort, location, helpfulness & friendliness of staff, comfort of rooms, quality and choice of food, quality of wine and beer on offer, ease of parking. Atmosphere. Excellent parking. Clean, comfortable room.Good choice of breakfast. Did not sample evening meal as this was pre booked elsewhere. We found the staff very friendly and the food was excellent. My only gripes although not complaints are: -Shower takes a good few minutes to warm up. - bedroom doors don't close quietly. Nothing to dislike apart from lack of lift to first floor but this did not cause too much of a problem. Only one disabled allocated place that I could see,which we actually used. Which to be absolutely fair was right beside the hotel entrance. nothing really,but I usually moan about the cost. Nothing. The bedroom was a bit cramped, especially when we have our dog with us!. Had to look for desk staff when we needed things. Always found someone though. Lighting too subdued in the bar and the bathroom. Very slow service at breakfast on Monday morning. Our room (no, 10) was pretty cramped, with only 1 chair. Decor in the Blue Coo didn't quite work all the mismatched chairs didn't quite get the effect and they were not comfortable, also it was confusing knowing where you had booked a table for dinner.We ended up in bar dining while football match on TV which was not what we'd had in mind. The list dogs in the room next door. Nothing. Nit- picking would be only one chair in our room. There was nothing we didn't like but, on arrival, the Receptionist didn't do the Bistro justice by describing it as serving 'steaks and things'. Bit noisy wedding on. lack of hot water. Room quite small. Shower did not work at all. Response to complaint too delayed. Had to have breakfast and depart without a shower. room tempreture & room size(quite small)but was ok. slightly worn, seat stained in bedroom,. tough roast beef for dinner. Nothing!. not a lot. skylight type window in bedroom therefore no view and felt a big claustrophobic. Inadequate bar area so you could not have a drink before a meal unless you sat at the dining tables. There was a separate hotel lounge which was completely empty all the time we were there - would sugget this could be made into a nice cosy bar and lounge for guests which would be used much more than now. The very small pokey room we had. As well as lack of floor space, the window was a skylight.so couldn't even broaden our horizons by looking out window.
