Excellent friendly staff, fantastic value for a short break and had everything we could want. It had carparking albeit down a very narrow lane (breathe in). Lovely breakfast. We stayed due to going to the BIC for a show and it is in a fantastic location for both this and the town centre.

Everything was so clean and sparkling. Breakfast was really good. The hotlier was good, we turned up late and it was no bother to him. Good wi-fi. I would go back to this hotel anytime

Jorge and his family were very welcoming and the hotel had a very friendly atmosphere throughout. A lovely cooked breakfast was served daily and there were plenty of options available. The location of the hotel is excellent with the beach a 3 min walk at the end of the road and the town centre is a 5 min stroll away. There are numerous restaurants and bars nearby, but not close enough to cause and disturbance.

The breakfast was nice & the hotel was very clean. It was situated within easy walking distance of the centre.
The family room was a double room with 2 single beds added so there was hardly any room to walk around & only a very small wardrobe for storage. The bathroom was extremely small & cramped & felt quite claustrophobic when the door was shut.
Made wecome from friendly owners, and all our needs were catered for without question.
Could have done with more clothes storage draws. Bathroom was too small and so it was difficult to use the toilet.
The Shirley Hotel is great for all ages and Jorge is a very funny and well liked host, i would definitely recommend this hotel to others.
The only thing we didn't like was about Bournemouth its self we didn't realise the place was so hilly, we travelled with my husbands elderly parents and so had to get alot of taxi's!! lol

Every thing. Staff, comfort, location, cleanliness, fresh towels daily, in room tea/coffee making facilities topped up daily. Jorge was welcoming, friendly with good advice on where to go and how to get there. He prepared an early 7am breakfast and ordered a taxi for us on the morning of our departure as we had to catch an early train to London. Overall a very pleasent vacation and if we return to Bourne mouth we will definatly stay in the Shirley again.

Location to the beach & town center within walking distance,clean facilities, food good, shower excellent, and generally a lovely ambiance. Made to feel very welcome by the owner(Jorge) & his wife. Would certainly recommend to friends & family.

I did like the price. The hotel is in a perfect location, you can walk anywherr from the beach to oceanarium or bournemouth baloon within 5-10 mintes, there is asda and subway nearby. So you can easly get the essencial bits and bobs that u have forgoten to take for your holiday, or pop in to subway for a quick sub. Thats all about location from me. Staff very friendly, we felt realy good there, breakfast was realy nice and in a good calm atmosphere, I did like the fact it was served between 8.30 and 9.30 . Very comfortable beds, perfect value for money, definitely will be coming back.
