  El hotel está a unos 5 min andando (en subida) de la calle principal por donde pasa el tranvía. Haciendo la reserva en Booking me pusieron un suttle (transporte al aeropuerto incluido) y si dicen que no al principio hay que insistir. The staff are all excellent and very kind and helpful. The breakfast is delicious and the view on the terrace is great. The rooms are comfortable and the cleaning staff are meticulous! Ask for a room with a water view if you can!

  We travelled as a family of 5 with a young 18 month old child and stayed in the family room - Hassan and the rest of the hotel staff could not have been more hospitable and helpful. There was a mosque too right next to our room, but only for males. Market - we arrived on Wednesday and there was a market selling fruit, vegetables, cheeses and much more. A good way to save on food! They provide a small gas burner and basic cutlery, you might want to bring a small pocket knife.

The Breakfast - A classic hotel, which I've used twice before, in 1995 & 2005, before its recent refurbishment. It's now three times the price, but the grandeur is no longer faded, it's now a true 5-star place. And I'm delighted to say that the refurb hasn't spoilt its character at all, as this is a hotel with more character and history than most! Staff were great, we got a room upgrade, and an extra hour extended checkout wasn't a problem. If we return to Istanbul, it'll be the Pera Palas for us!
