El Hotel esta muy bien situado en la zona Europea de Estambul, cerca del Palacio Dolmabache y con vistas al Bosforo. El personal es muy amable y las facilidades del hotel son magnificas. - la amabilidad del personal; la atenciòn recibida en todas las instancias; la calidad de los alimentos

The history: Agatha Christie wrote her [Murder on the Orient Express] at
this hotel. There is a small exhibition area on the fourth floor about
this and other historic moments. The elevator from 1895 can still run
(though not always in use). They sell postcards and other souvenirs

A classic hotel, which I've used twice before, in 1995 & 2005, before its recent refurbishment. It's now three times the price, but the grandeur is no longer faded, it's now a true 5-star place. And I'm delighted to say that the refurb hasn't spoilt its character at all, as this is a hotel with more character and history than most! Staff were great, we got a room upgrade, and an extra hour extended checkout wasn't a problem. If we return to Istanbul, it'll be the Pera Palas for us!
