Lo que la gente dice
The hotel is a extremely tasteful restoration of a 200 year old stone building in the old town of Bergama immediately below the acropolis and related monuments of ancient Pergamon. The owner and staff were very welcoming and helpful. Room was comfortable. Breakfast terrace had panoramic views of town and excavations (all in easy walking distance). Excellent value.
The acropolis excavations are accessible by a new teleferique, but don't limit yourself to the signature pieces above the top stati. todo comentarios »
Beautifully renovated old house, with care to maintain the original feel. The room was comfortably and lovingly furnished and the bathroom was spacious with quality fittings. Excellent hosts, urbane, well educated and attentive. We were privileged to be invited to join a large group of family friends meeting at the hotel for a private celebration, including dinner (the hotel does not have a restaurant), and a musical performance. The guests, as much as the hosts, made us feel welcome, demonst.
Everything! Friendly, generous hosts.who spoke good English and provided lots of helpful information. Comfortable, well furnished room and good sized bathroom. Wonderful common areas, both indoor and outdoor. A great breakfast served on the terrace with great views over the village below. The hotel is high up in the old town and you do have to wind around narrow streets to get there, but signs in the town clearly mark the way. It is a quick & easy walk down into the town, a bit of a climb b.
This is a gorgeous boutique hotel, lovingly restored and in a beautiful position. The owners are extremely friendly and helpful, the room was very comfortable (and quiet), the breakfast was delicious, taken on a terrace overlooking, on the one side, the town of Bergama, and on the other, the ruins of Pergamon. (Also, just up the hill, is a municipal restaurant, the Akropol, serving some of the very best Turkish food we have ever tasted - in a hotly-contested field!) I would love to stay there a.
Wow, what a beautiful place. We wanted a bit of a splurge after spending a few nights in a less than stellar hotel and we were not disappointed. The room with a view of the old part of town, a spacious and well equipped bathroom, lovely furnishings, peaceful and comfortable common areas, a breakfast porch with views of the city on one side and ancient Pergamon on the other, a delicious breakfast, kind and very helpful hosts, who could ask for more.
A lovely hotel situated out of the noise of the city. Our room was spacious and beautifully appointed. Beds had great mattresses. The breakfast was excellent, and as noted in other reviews, with a nice view of the city below. The only problem encountered was the shower did not provide hot water for one of our showers which the owner said she would ask the technician to look into. Would have been 5 stars with the shower fixed.
Small charming family hotel. The most pleasant hotel we stayed in
Turkey. Beautiful place, close to Acropolis. Very clean and comfortable.
Rooms are restored in old Turkish style. The owners, Mrs. Mevhibe and
Mr. Iskander, are incredibly friendly, helpful and interesting people,
travelling a lot themselve. Good Chardonnay on the nice terrace with
excellent views.
Great place to stay. Staff were incredibly helpful, warm and friendly,
the hotel is a recently renovated old greek building in a charming part
of town. Wonderful breakfast terrace, great rooms with a lot of
character. It is a little tricky to find but they have put signs up on
the roads for you to follow. Thanks Mr. Iskander for a great time.
Perfect location for Pergamon acropolis. Cable car is 10 minutes walk. Hotel very charming. Refurbished old house in old part of Bergama. And very charming owner with a personal welcoming style and helpful advice. Lovely breakfast on verandah with a view. Good nearby restaurant.
This is an excellent small hotel. The house is superbly decorated. It is 150 m from the center of the old Bergama and only at 750 from the cable to Pergamon. There is a very nice view from the breakfast terrace. The breakfast was very good and the Wi-Fi worked very well.
The hotel is inmaculate, the rooms are comfortable, the location is perfect. But most of all the hosts were beyond bei8ng just nice, they went out of their way to make us feel like family. You feel like you are visiting old friends from the moment you arrive.
Very friendly staff, good location, terrace with excellent views of the city and the acropolis mountain, very well signposted, good & interesting restaurant nearby, all drinks available, historical building, very comfortable.
The hotel is two old stone houses which have been renovated and combined to make a lovely little hotel overlooking the town with views of the local ruins, as well. The owners could not have been more welcoming and gracious.
the hotel has been well designed at the basis of an old house, including a wine cellar. People can see an excavating site of Rome time from the hotel when taking breakfast. The hotel owner is very kind and friendly.
We liked everything at this beautifully decorated hotel! Very nice rooms, Personal attention from the owner, a lot of good recommendations from the owner (most of them). The owner speaks good English.
Beautiful courtyard and building. Very pleasant and interesting staff. Nice breakfast. Quiet area. Supper recommendation was excellent. Would happily return. Convenient base for visiting local sites.
The hotel location was out of the main part of the town and in the old
section, which seemed to be a residential neighbourhood. The hotel
direction signs were everywhere and a very great help.
Hosts were warm and welcoming; quiet and peaceful location; relaxing, homey atmosphere, amazing breakfast spread; clean, luxurious rooms; walking distance to all the major historical sites.
Very friendly owner, great experience. The rooms are designed with passion and are very comfortable and clean. Absolutely recommended! The Ancient site of Pergamon is within short reach.
First class small boutique hotel walking distance to all major sites and to the center of town. Very friendly service by the owners. Very nice rooms and good value for money.
Staff were wonderful and extremely helpful
Went the extra mile to find me paracetemol. Location is excellent and the hotel was beautiful.
The breakfast was amazing.
We stayed six nights in Hera Hotel. It is a lovely place and the owner's kindness made it a wonderful stay. In Hera Hotel its easy to feel at home.
Owners and manager were extremely helpful and friendly, room was large and comfortable, new bathrooms, great breakfast up on an open air verandah.
excellent breakfast on terrace overlooking the city, very comfortable atmosphere of a small country hotel, helpful host, own garage.
Charming family run hotel in a beautifully restored historic house.
Ideal location for ancient sites and the town. Lovely views.
Friendly staff who helped us to discover Bergama. Very charming rooms with a lovely breakfast and nice views from the terrace.
Well marked !! Staff very hospitable and homely. Cozy. Although we reached late, staff were waiting for us.
The owner's kindness permeates all the walls and shines in every corner. It Is a lovely place.
Extremely attentive owner couple, which made our stay feel like a visit to the grandparents.
Friendly Hospitable Helpful host. Beautifully restored rooms. Good restaurants nearby.
Super-friendly owner, quiet place, in the middle of ancient Pergamum.
the staff was great. nice room, nice terrace.
unique builginh
historic.
Signage to the hotel is excellent, but expect to drive last kilometer on single lane roads winding through old town.
The experience of driving in the twisting and extremely narrow streets around the hotel. The hotel is well signposted, but take care, if you are in a car, that you follow the signs for driving. Some signs are for pedestrians only. We were not careful and ended up in difficulties backing out. Had to be rescued by some local residents who had obviously had previous experience with tourists!.
Only that it's hard to find, and if your hire car is larger than the smallest possible you might find access a problem - it's in the old Greek area, on a steep hill, where the lanes are designed more for donkeys than cars!.
There is a good way to the hotel from the city center. You should follow
the route marked with "Hera hotel" signs, carefully placed
along the way. But don't even try to use navigator (we did, the
shaitan device calculated the "shortest" way of 500m, it took
us half an hour, with side mirrors closed, having 3cm between the doors
and walls aside).
Everything was perfect.
nothing!.
The only thing we did not like was dinner at the Acropolis (?) restaurant recommended to us at the hotel - one of the worst food and decor experiences in Turkey.
Coffee at breakfast poor.
We liked it all - even getting lost.
Neighbors have dogs that bark quite frequently at night and can be heard through closed windows. It's not the hotel's fault, though, and if you're a deep sleeper it's OK!.
The mattresses were a little bit too hard (but this seems to be common in Turkey).
Light in the bathroom could be brighter for shaving.
barking dog in the neighbourhood, but of minor importance.
It was all perfect!.
hard to find.
