  This was a really "cool" hotel! My husband and I stayed with our 9 year old and 15 year old, and all of us loved it. The amenities were amazing - the pool was heated with relaxing music and modern lighting.   Luzern is a beautiful city and we enjoyed our time there. We had a good sized room and the staff were very helpful. Parking is underneath the hotel. It was a better than the average Ibis. The train station is only a 7 min walk from the hotel and it takes only 4 min to get into Luzern.   Staff were friendly and most helpful. I stayed there so I could have an early start on driving over the St. Gotthard Pass then over the Furka Pass and on to the Valais. The room was compact, comfortable, very clean and tidy. They provide free wifi which I put to good use that night. The local beer accompanied the meal perfectly. I would recom - Arrived at the end of a long day's drive to a warm and friendly welcome and an excellent supper. Couldn't have asked for more. The room was basic but clean and functional, and in any case this is a budget hotel. Downsides? Not really. Decor is a little dated but well maintained and it has character that you don't find in chain hotels. In all, a nice, welcoming family hotel and a great place to break a journey and have a good meal. Highly recommended.

  We were staying in the hotel for a sporting event nearby and were incredibly impressed. The staff were friendly and helpful and we appreciated that they waited for us to arrive after our flight was delayed.
