I really enjoyed my stay at Edelweiss hotel.
Firstly is situated in the delightful town of Wengen - in the heart of the Jungfrau. The town has spectacular views of the mountains, which was quite breathtaking as I made the short walk from the train station to the hotel.

Daniel, the hotel manager was simply the most hospitable person ever! My
wife and I unfortunately did not pack any winter clothes and we
happenned to arrive during their first snow in over 30 years. Daniel let
us borrow some of us winter clothes for our stay which saved us and
allowed us to enjoy all that this beautiful area had to offer. He spent
some time when we first arrived, giving us a tour of the property and
explaining how all of the trains/aerial cable cars worked. It really

The location of the hotel was great! The view of the Eiger and Monch are fabulous. Our room had two bedrooms which was perfect for our family of four. The bigger room had a balcony looking out over the valley and mountains. The owners were friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was nice. Great place as a home base for hiking or skiing. Memorable stay. Beautiful location. Good breakfast. Clean rooms. We will surely be coming again. As a note of info but not criticism, it is for people who wish to stay away from the hustle bustle of touristy activities and who are ready to trek or drive upto this place. The place has not got any elevator so be careful to limit the baggage numbers

Gasthof Panorama really does justify its name. Each morning we ate our breakfast looking out on a beatiful range of snow covered mountains. Our room was simple but spacious with good facilities and a comfortable large double bed. It was wisper quiet. The lady owner was friendly and very helpful. It was our favourite stop of this holiday.

Amazing view of Lake Thun and the surrounding countryside. The kitchen (cook) is amazing! We could have eaten all our meals there, had we never left the hotel. Obviously there is much to do in the area, and the hotel was centrally located to allow easy transportation into Thun or Interlaken. We'll be staying again-- even with three kids!
