The atmosphere was really calm and friendly, informal yet absolutely non-intruding, creating instant "at-home" feeling.
I had a single room with an openable window facing a narrow old town street and one of the walls revealing historic building bricks. Cozy and simple.
I would definitely wish to stay in this hostel again when visiting Stockholm next time!

I loved the ambiance of staying on the boat. the bar on the top gave great views and breakfast was very good. Also the reading room was quite nice .The location was wonderful. Great location: the rooms with the river view (ask for them!) have an amazing and romantic view on the Old City (Gamla Stan). Location is perfect to explore the city. We tried the standard twin-Hostel cabin: small as expected (it's a boat!) but still very comfortable and very clean. The shared bathrooms and showers are in good number, big and super-clean: never needed to wait in 5 days!

Cheap according to Stockholm standarts. This hotel has spacious rooms, bathroom inside the room, and even windows ! Excellent position (5 minutes walk from Central Station, 3 from Drottningatan, which is the major pedestrian street of the city, and 10 minutes from Gamla Stan). Room is little but clean and cosy. Even if at street level the noise is acceptable. Free fast wi-fi. Nice guest.

I realy like that it was quiet and a friendly athmosphere.
It was a lot of showers and wc so I never feel that I has to wait for this.
It was emasing to see that it works so well to drive a hostel without staff/reception.
Very clean bedrooms and no smoke from these ho use the entrencedoor for smokingarea. -

were ver comfortable; room size very good compared to some more
expensive rooms I visited; plenty of hot water [but shower only];
excellent and plentiful breakfast; staff [when on duty] were pleasant

the staff was really great and helpfull.
the room is very confortable, clean and with a good temperature.
we can use the kitchen, the free wi-fi and a computer. free coffee, a lots of free food also (courtesy of hostel staff).
the best hostel i've ever stayed.
very close to the metro station odenplan. in front of the hostel has a market where we can buy food and metro 24h or 72h card.
just a great place to stay.

I appreciated verything ! I didn't try the shared bathroom but only
the toilets since I slept my two first nights (3 nights in total) in a
double-bed room, but absolutely everything was wonderful :
- comfortable quite big beds with strong woody frames (no noise)
- easy key system with card or magnetic "plastic coin"
- big case for valuable belongi

The kitchen is a very nice addition to the stay at Skanstulls. Since
food is so expensive in Stockholm, the kitchen gives a nice break to buy
food and cook it. There are 2 grocery stores across the street too,
In the hostel is a lot of tourist info which was really nice.
I had a late check in that I forgot to mention and I almost wasn't able to get into the hostel. I caught the staff member at the last minute as she was leaving and she was so kind about my mistake. She was a very helpful girl
