expensive rooms I visited; plenty of hot water [but shower only];

Fantastic location! Next door to Royal Palace, plus Gamla Stan is sightseeing object itself, so you can easily kill a day or half-a-day just wandering there. This place felt so much like home from the very first moment I arrive with my sister. It was very clean and for the money you spend you do not expect that. Location is great. I did not need to take any means of transport since many attractions(Royal Palace, Diugarden, Fotografiska museum) are in walking distance of maximum 30'. Great location: the rooms with the river view (ask for them!) have an amazing and romantic view on the Old City (Gamla Stan). Location is perfect to explore the city. We tried the standard twin-Hostel cabin: small as expected (it's a boat!) but still very comfortable and very clean. The shared bathrooms and showers are in good number, big and super-clean: never needed to wait in 5 days!

the toilets since I slept my two first nights (3 nights in total) in a
double-bed room, but absolutely everything was wonderful :
- comfortable quite big beds with strong woody frames (no noise)
- easy key system with card or magnetic "plastic coin"

The kitchen is a very nice addition to the stay at Skanstulls. Since
food is so expensive in Stockholm, the kitchen gives a nice break to buy
food and cook it. There are 2 grocery stores across the street too,
In the hostel is a lot of tourist info which was really nice.
I had a late check in that I forgot to mention and I almost wasn't able to get into the hostel. I caught the staff member at the last minute as she was leaving and she was so kind about my mistake. She was a very helpful girl
