  Overall, it was very good for the price. Great location in the center of town, away from the big hotels in the party area so it's possible to sleep. It's about 7 or 8 short blocks to the main port (5-10 min walk). It's pretty close to the bus station, but you have to zig-zag through the odd-angled streets to get there. The family staff was very friendly, always saying hell - As a small group of 3 young girls I found this hostal very safe. It is a family run business and all the staff are very friendly and helpful. The security at night means no one can just wonder in which makes it feel very safe. The rooms were cleaned every day and fresh towels were provided. It is situated close to the west end bars but just out of the way so there’s no noise in the evening.   My friends and I have just come back from a 4 night's stay at Apartamentos Es Retiro and would highly recommend to any other groups of friends looking for a cheap and great place to stay in Ibiza. It's a quick walk to the strip if you're looking to go there, but not too close so you not bombarded with revellers walking past your window. We were a group of 4 friends who stayed there for our spring break and it could not have been nicer. The hotel is connected to a bar/restaurant that was really affordable, and with our reservation we even got free paella one of the days! And it was good paella, too. The staff is very friendly and always willing to help or give you advice about good places to go on the island. Overall, it's a great budget-friendly place.
