  After a long day of driving, it was a real treat to have a beatiful room with 2 balconies on the ocean. The breeze kept the room cool without having to use the air conditionning. The view was amazing.   Everything about this hotel was good! The staff was so welcoming and helpful! We had early departure (4am), nevertheless, we were offered a breakfast! We had a half board and the food was excellent! The room was so nice and the sea view is amazing! Hotel location is just 50m from the sea!   My wife and I stayed at Pensio Torrent for three nights. The Pensio is run by a mother and son and is exceptionally clean if basic. It is a terrific value for under $40 per night. We stayed in Room 203 on the top floor, with a small balcony overlooking the street. The "action", such as it is, in L'Escala is just a couple of blocks away, as is the beach, but for us the real - We were met by a lovely lady after a long bus journey and were able to check-in already at 10am. Throughout our stay she was very helpful with everything altho our Spanish/Catalan is very basic! Our bedroom was lovely, had a small balcony with a view over the street and church. Waking up to a sound of church bells and cockerel was nice too. Highly recommend!
