The staff were friendly, polite and very helpful, always smiling, and solicitous without being in your face. Breakfast was plentiful, lots of choices and value for money; use of the business centre at no extra cost was a godsend - see wi-fi
The entrance/lobby very spacious and felt homely. I would definitely stay at the Portswood again

I have stay at this hotel each year for a week for business. I noticed this time that the same staff are still working there. I think this says a lot about staff turnover. The staff are very positive always happy to hep, nothing is ever to hard. I had an issue with a pick up being late and it was dealt with quickly and the transport manager was waiting for me to apologise for the error. This hotel is a beautiful place and when you are here you are treated as family, a pleasure staying

Staff friendliness and willingness to assist in any way was outstanding. Breakfasts were varied and tailored to all of our needs. The privacy and space in our family suite was excellent with a child. The apartments are extremely nice. We were a group of 6 friends that rented the penthouse and our expectation were topped, a superb view and a very nice, clean place. We were also surprised to see that the apartment had anything you would wish for in the kitchen. The washing machine came in handy as well. The hotel is just minutes to walk from the restaurants and bars on Long Street. At the ground floor of the hotel we found a supermarket / sushi restaurant that came in quite handy. All in all,

Of all the places I have stayed across the World (and there have been a lot!) I don't think I have ever stayed anywhere as special as this. It is a glass eyrie perched on the side of a mountain with THE most spectacular views over False Bay. The accommodation is sumptuous and you feel a million dollars staying here. Great location with stunning view over False Bay from the public area and rooms! During our stay in SA Aqua Terra was by far the best B&B. Rooms were very well-equipped and super-clean. We enjoyed the breakfast and useful advice from Jenny, our host. It is a pity we could only stay there for one night. But we will come back!

I really liked all the environmental information to encourage guests to recycle and use less energy and water. Room is spacious and well-designed, including the double functioning bathroom/toilet door! Breakfast was a well-stocked buffet with freshly cooked eggs. Friendly staff.
