Had a lovely stay at Cunningham's and was very impressed with our accommodation which was very comfortable and spacious and right next to the pool area which is also very nice. Amazing breakfast with fresh fruits and continental option, along with the classic cooked option. Recommend the scrambled eggs. We had the premium room and it was very tastefully furnished, very spacey and comfortable. Nice pool area with honesty bar and wood burner - perfect to sit in front of on a chilly evening with a bottle of wine. The owner Tim is very friendly and helpful. A very pleasant place to stay. We were in the outside cottage - fairly basic but absolutely adequate. Very bright with white everywhere, giving the place an opportunity to display how spotlessly clean everything was. The owner was the larger than life Tim, a real character. Breakfast was great. The location was superb being only a few minutes drive to Thesen island waterfront or just take a stroll around leisure island. It was idyllic. Tim even had my car washed. "It goes better when its clean"

More like staying with family than at a guest house! Excellent service and high security, which is an absolute necessity nowadays. The room was large and comfortable with a kettle, coffee, tea and a personal safe. Car parking was in a high security area with electric gate access. The property was spic and span. It is a very homely place, that make you feel right at home. The owner welcomed us in a way that made us feel like friends instead of strangers. The Karoo has a vast open beauty that allows you to relax and reflect.

The person on duty came out at one o'clock in the morning to let me in.
I was given a breakfast woucher for Spur which was great value as I was on a budget.
There were also bicycles to hire so getting around was no problem.
