Have been staying at the hotel over the years - in my opinion it is unique - in its setting and the service. I have always come away from the hotel wishing I could have stayed for much longer. -

Location and proximity to amenities in and around Tzaneen is excellent. Staff are very supportive and efficient. A quick pop over to Crawdaddy's is a must with good food and service. -

We stayed here for 2 nights. Yvonne and Gerard are great hosts, and a bit quirky. Gerard can tell you everything you ever wanted to know about South African car licence plates. The lodge itself is very cozy, with a bush decor. It's very clean, and housekeeping was in our room twice a day, including in the evening to put a chocolate on our pillow before bedtime. We often use Phalaborwa as a stop-over en-route to the Kruger Park. This last stay at Tingala was by far the best and next time will probably just stay at Tingala and do day trips into the park. This is a special lodge with special people running it. Craig and Alison were the perfect hosts and the lodge itself was absolutely perfect in all respects - but primarily, the solace of the African Bush, the sounds, the smells, the animals (all over a glass of red and a night time braai from the stoop)
