  Manaar House is definitely one of the best places to stay in Durban/Umhlanga. We stayed there for three nights in the self Catering Apartment. The a/c duplex unit was extremely spacious, spotlessly clean, nicely furnished and well maintained.   This is a very upmarket and charming B & B. Very close to the airport. The staff members were very friendly and professional.   For an overnight this was a good choice; our arrival was late afternoon into Durban and we were nervous about driving in the dark. It quickly falls dark around 18.00, apparently year round. Quiet,clean & comfortable with plenty of hot water & good helpful staff.
