were practical, comfortable, modern, and affordable. It was like

Everything. From the time we checked until we left we were impressed with the courtesy of the staff, the cleanliness and comfort of our room, and the food in the restaurant. The overall hotel premises are well maintained, and we would definitely recommend it.
When Hilton take over in April 2013, we hope that they will continue to keep up the high standards of the present management.

The staff were friendly, polite and very helpful, always smiling, and solicitous without being in your face. Breakfast was plentiful, lots of choices and value for money; use of the business centre at no extra cost was a godsend - see wi-fi
The entrance/lobby very spacious and felt homely. I would definitely stay at the Portswood again

Apartment hotel room was large and fully equipped for extended stays and had an excellent location close to eateries and clubs and added plus a great view of Table Mountain. - Great Location. Amazing Service. Parking a bit expensive, but you can park outside for cheaper. Even overnight!!

Not an ultramodern hotel but rather a well maintained hotel with a more
genteel feel. The rooms were nicely sized, comfortable bed and kept
spotless by the staff. The rooms were well soundproofed so you had no
extraneous noise from other rooms. The restaurant was pleasant and the

part of town next to the parliament buildings but only a 10 minute

Staff eager to help us as we arrived early were leaving late and had to leave luggage at hotel. We were upgraded to double rooms with views of Table Top. A cheap taxi ride or walk from all the major city sites. Excellent breakfast included. Rooms spacious with all facilities. Compared with our hotel in Rio on the same trip and for the same price Townhouse was streets ahead. Can't wait to go back to Cape Town and when I do there's only one place I'll be staying - The Townhouse.

It was my husband's 30th birthday and the hotel went out of their way to make it extra special for him. Special mention to Daphne and Mandla whom really went out of their way to make our stay extra special. I loved the room beyond everything and felt really cosy. This is a brand new hotel - open for just 2 months. Its location is on the fringe of busy downtown Cape Town, and is thus safe and secure, and within easy walking distance from all the major attractions including the popular VandA waterfront, and it is minutes away from the Convention Center.
