excellent stay! i travel the world over, just about every week I'm in a new place but have never stayed at a Kempinski before. The staff we great. The room was great. I got upgraded and dont even know why as i dont have a Kempinski loyalty card - but i do now! Will definitely stay again. Thoroughly recommend -

Good location - close to the river, especially convenient to watch Liteyny bridge raise (it is 1 min walk). Please note that rooms overlooking Liteyny prospekt have the best view, but are noisy. This is the second time I've stayed in this hotel and I will definitely come back again. Location is terrific! All the main attractions and sights are within the walking distance. The room was spacious, well-furnished and clean (both of the times). The superior double was huge, the bathroom itself was the size of a regular room! A very correct hotel, with extremely large bar/ dining room complex
and a pub open late. Excellent food in that pub (which is a rare thing
to find in that town). Excellent coffee, and plenty of space to
comfortably read a paper. Location is excellent - not right at the
center with all its tourist traps but a little kickback at calm
Vasilevsky Island. A very good place on the whole although on the
expensive side.

I arrived by train and by taking Bus number 22 I have arrived at the Hotel an hour after. I found there everything I needed - a working shower in a huge warm-
floore (surprise!) bathroom, warm well furnitured room with a bottle of
water for free (surprise!) and it was a real pleasure to have a cup of
tea in bed, not in dining room (I asked the receptionist and he allowed
me to take it from the ground floor) in the evening. The breakfast is
wery reach.
