  We stayed at Dar Qamar to break up a return trip to Marrakech from Merzouga, and we wish we had more time to spend here. The hotel is appears to be down some back street, but what a place it is. Behind the walls is a beautiful pool area and gardens with peacocks. The lounge area was comfortable and there was even some Wifi if you need it. Like many French-run hotels in Morocco you can get wine. - The place is really amazing and beautiful while at first the surroundings and the last 1.5 km might not find your approval (see earlier comments) but this wasn't an issue for us and our stay was very peaceful. A beautiful well maintained garden is surrounding a nice pool area, the amazing patio is inviting to relax, to read, to have a drink.. During our stay the owners (French couple) were absent but the place was well run, good a friendly staff.

  This is my second visit in six months and it did not disappoint. It's a wonderful haven of tranquillity . Rooms are spacious and decor very tastefully done .The staff are superb - most helpful and friendly and very smart in their crisp whites. I am from hotel background and am usuall - Practically perfect in every way - fantastic rooms (definitely worth getting a sea view to watch the sunset in the evenings), incredible food (there is no reason to go elsewhere to eat - so tasty), lovely staff, short walk to the beach, amazing spa, candles lit in your room and a chocolate left on your pillow every night, lovely pool and poolside service from the staff.   Great location overlooking the Kasbah, we had a nice view from our room. The place is set up like a traditional riad, with the rooms around a central living area. WiFi in the main room was good and it was nice to surf the internet in the "Berber living room." Breakfast overlooking the Kasbag with the sunrise was also a plus.
