I love everything about the place. Athough the room is really small and compact, everything that you need is available. The bed is extremely comfortable and the bathroom is clean. K's House in Takayama holds a dinner party once a month and I was really lucky to be there on that one day in a month. The ensuite room is good size and comfortable. Simple decoration. Half way between the train station and the old town. about 8 mins walk from the train station. Good for money. -

Being located at a certain elevation, I enjoyed the nice window view of the city with the mountains at the background.
I loved the 50% discount coupon of a nearby hotel quality onsen. I appreciated the shuttle sevice at 9 a.m. heading the town below. I liked the helpfulness of the staff though they seemed to be shy, like a lot of the Japanese. -

Its in the outskirts of Takayama, so really peaceful and beautiful place. Though Takayama is rather small. Only about 15-20 min walk from the station.
Comfortable beds, curtains around them as well for privacy amd keeping the light out.

Very nice room and quite large by Japanese standards and the hotel is in a great town full of historic buildings and beautiful scenery. The hotel is new and well maintained. The staff are helpful. The surrounding area has great eateries and coffee- try the coffee at he place next to K's House - friendly people, good homemade food. And go to the Jazz Bar- truly great.
