Centrally located between Minakami’s 9 ski areas, Canyons Alpine Lodge offers dorm beds and Japanese-style rooms with free Wi-Fi, a café-bar and pop music performances in the weekends. It features pool billiards, a shared kitchen and an outdoor goods shop. Guests at Lodge Alpine can freely use the kitchen, which is appointed with a stove, microwave and a fridge. Activities in the area include rafting, canyoning and skydiving, while hot springs are nearby. The lodge offers free transfers to/from Minakami Station. The Alpine Lodge is located in front Joshinetsu National Park. It’s a 5-minute ride from Minakami Station on the complimentary shuttle, while Takaragawa Onsen Hot Spring is a 15-minute drive. Rooms feature a tatami (woven-straw) floor and air conditioning, while toilets and bathing facilities are shared. Shared dorm rooms have bunk beds, while private rooms come with traditional futon bedding. A breakfast buffet with a Western spread is catered daily. Alpine Café & Bar is recommended for après-ski leisure time.
