We chose Stresa Residence for two reasons - (1) it was an apartment rather than a hotel and had a full kitchen; and (2) it was less expensive than most of the hotels we looked at as well. We were very happy with our choice. We ate all of our breakfast in as well as some of the lunches (with the kitchen and a grocery store a block away this was easy). Our room was lovely we kindly got upgraded to a junior suite which hadgreat views of the lake and surrounding area. Outside sitting area wasreally nice to. - There is also a large unpaved parking across the road, at the north-side of the hotel.

Plenty of parking and a large elevator. Location just 5 minutes from the boat docks and about a 20 minute stroll along the promenade to the city center of Stresa. Rooms were very large, clean and huge bathroom.
