Colosseum Garden - Fotos
Lo que la gente dice
Evreything was just perfect, I am very happy with my choice. We stayed in
the double bedroom apartment. The position is fantastic, 5 minutes walk
from the Colosseum and the subway station, also a very good start for a
tour of the ancient attractions of Rome as many touristical objectives
are walking distance. The apartment was great, big and spacious, 2
bedrooms, a livingroom, bathroom and kitchen, very clean, being cleaned
every day and also laying on a quite quiet street in the noisy center of

We were staying in the Colosseum Garden II: 2-bedroom apartment. The apartment is very big, clean and cozy, comes with a nice and equipped kitchen.
Towers were changed everyday and beds were made.
Hot water for shower was good and consistent.
There was a notice not to touch the switch for the hot water in the bathroom. Just take note that the switch has to be constantly "ON".
We stayed here for 7 days and managed to extend for another 2 days (I have a job assignment in Rome). Would love to sta.
I loved everything about this b&b! We arrived late and they were waiting for us. They gave us a very good map with all the nearby facilities and a good Rome map as well. The room was small but very cozy and well decorated. There was also a tiny kitchen, so we could store out food (but there is no cooker) and prepare some coffee. The staff was extremely kind, they send me a SMS to confirm my arrival time so everything would be prepared for me. The location is great also, since is really clos.
Sandra gave me a very warm welcome and was extremely helpful. The location is perfect--near the Colosseum, restaurants, cafes, grocery stores, parks, public transportation. Great neighborhood that is a mix of tourists and locals. Excellent ice cream store on the corner. Room 1 was very comfortable, clean, nice design. Room was cool even though it was hot outside. Small kitchen in common area much appreciated.
Interior is very nice, and the building is authentic Italian style apartment. Great location; 5mins walk to Colosseo. Staff are very helpful , and recommended good places to eat & visit. Great value for money!! It is not in the middle of Rome, but we preferred that we stayed in Colosseo area as it's bit quieter & have local feel to it. The city centre is just a few subway stops away.
the staff is extremely friendly and helpful, on the first day of arrival, she give us a map and show us where to go and what available nearby ! her map is super cute with labels that easily identify the shops nearby! the breakfast is the best part! love the crossiant, the best i had so far! The decorations in the reception room is the highlight!.
The room was beautiful and comfortable, as well as the little kitchen, although the coffee machine did not work. Retrome is very close to the Colosseum, Metro station and buses. Very quite street. Breakfast, 5 euro, at nearby street cafe was GREAT! Perfect situated. We enjoyed our stay at Retrome!.
This hotel is just great.
Location is perfect - really close to Colosseum but in the same time it's in a very quiet street and there are non-tourist-oriented restaraunts nearby.
The staff is really friendly and ready to help. And the rooms look good - clean, stylish and cozy.
Close verry close even to the colloseum Calm area at night Clean, clean

I liked the friendliness of the staff and their eagerness to help guests. I liked the retro concept. I liked the close distance to the Colloseo, restaurants, vehicle rentals, postal service, public transportation. I liked the cleanliness of the B&B.
very clean, quiet, excellent stuff, very good breakfast in a close, friendly "bar" as the italian call coffee shops. always warm running water and with impeccable sense of taste and next to the colloseum. Need I say more? Would stay again any time.
Location is great, very close to the Colosseum. Nice quiet area at night. Great tips from staff about reasonable restaurants nearby which were very good. Staff very helpful and friendly. Would definitely return and highly recommend this place.
This hotel is conveniently located to the train station and was very easy to find.
The staff were great and the hotel is very American vintage.
The B&B had many doors to access to get to the room, but I felt very safe.
Great apartment, very clean and unique design. Angela was very friendly and helpful, arranged a pickup from the airport and provided us with maps. Free WiFi. Good location next to the Colosseum.
Location is great, very close to the Colosseum. Nice quiet area at night Angela was very friendly and helpful she give us a map and show us where to go and what available nearby.
The location was fantastic. The little neighborhood on Celimontana was delightful! There's a little wine bar nearby that was magnificent! And the patio was a superb city oasis!.
Responsive attentive staff, clean and comfortable. Manager gives all the necessary tourist information. There is everything you need to drink coffee or tea. Great location.
Sandra was a great receptionist and helped us with everything we needed. Clean and well decorated room. Location, near the Coliseum and many restaurants, is quite nice.
Excellent, personal attention by the staff. Nicely designed and very
pleasant room. Overall, way nicer than a standard hotel.
Office staff was extremely friendly and accommodating to our needs.
Access to a communal kitchenette was added plus.
Sandra was very helpful, design, room space, neighbourhood, a lot of restaurant nearby, really close to colosseum.
- The staff was very friendly and helpful
- The location was amazing (Close to Colosseum & Metro Station).
The InnKeeper, Angela was the most helpful person we have ever met. She went above and beyond to help us.
- Very good location : very calm, near the Colosseum & metro
station,
- clean
- friendly staff.
The staff was very friendly and the room vas very clean. Only positive things to say about Angela.
It is very clean and comfortable. The person there are very good. The speed of internet is good.
Loved the sites, the tours, the food, the gelato, and the hotel.
Staff very friendly and helpfull
Great central location
Comfy.
All it's perfect...thank's for your welcome and services..
Close to Colosseum
Friendly staff
Clean.
The location. Clean rooms, WIFI.
Very friendly hotel!.
Lots of room.
The Staff really really friendly and the location was really good. The hotel had a small map with recommendations of cafes and restaurants in the area that you dont see the tourists in. That was really helpful for some good coffee and breakfast without the price.
Position and privacy were really good.
Location.
Location.
On some days, trash bins in the kitchen and bathroom were not cleared. May be that is our own responsibility. No big deal.
Would be nice if the kitchen is provided with sugar, olive oil etc. so that travellers do not need to buy in big quantity for a short stay.
It's a bit difficult to see the sign next to the door, particularly since it's a residential building.
the room is abit small, if you are okie with small room and small bathroom, then highly recommended.
Difficult to find Retrome. Sandra could tell us to turn left when leaving the Metro station and walk halfway to the left around the Colosseum and then cross the street. The entrance and passage towards reception looks terrible, but once you inside your room, it is ultra modern.
Wish I had booked another night.
Bathroom was a little on the small side but wouldn't prevent me returning.
We got back to our room around 3:30 pm the first day and discovered that our room hadn't been picked up, and we really needed towels.
But, I heard the innkeeper in the afternoon and he was able to exchange them for us.
Smallest bathroom ever!.
We sometimes had to keep our window closed to keep out the smell of
cigarette smoke from the balcony.
Room was very very small.
The street in front of hotel little bit dark at night.
- We had a delayed flight and called to inform the hotel. We informed that we will be arriving at 9pm but arrived at the hotel at 8.30pm. We rang the door bell but there was no answer and had to wait 45 mins (9.15pm) before the receptionist came back to check us in. Luckily we had a friend who checked in earlier and opened the main door for us, if not, we would have waited 45mins in cold and freezing rain.
Bathroom very small.
Internet is a little bit strange. I can connect to the wifi in the beginning. But in the last day, I can connect to it.
Warning to others: Beware of so called taxi drivers asking if you need
a ride inside the airport. We got taken by one of these drivers who we
realized wasn't an official driver once we departed the airport
(no meter inside the vehicle). We reached our hotel in Rome and he
pulled out a little sheet of paper saying the charge was 145 euro!
Lesson learned.
Room very small.
A bit uncertain how the reception worked but ok in the end.
The room was way too small and when they were cleaning the room they added a toilet cake that made the whole room smell like the toilet. however when I asked the staff to remove they did.
room was cold. it needed the heating on all the time. But on the other hand, in Rome you rarely have to deal with cold weather.
The room was very small compared to what's shown in the pictures.
The access to the room is not easy, you have to open three doors to be able to reach your room.
Condition didn't work. Window didn't close well so it was very noisy. Walls were very thin so you can hear everything in other rooms. No lift.
