The hotel was perfectly located - within walking distance of the
colosseum, pantheon, Trevi fountain, and Spanish quarter. It is also
right around the corner from the metro and down the street from Termini
Station, which runs to one of the airports in Rome. There are also a
number or good restaurants of all prices very near, within 10 minutes
walking at a leisurely pace. The staff was very friendly and helpful,
giving tips on how to get into the Colosseum and Roman Forum without
waiting 4 hours

We loved everything about this B&B. Alice, the owner, goes out of her way to make the guests feel at home. She even helped us when we had a medical emergency and even offered to drive us to the emergency room (which we luckily didn't have to). There are drinks (water, juice, ice tea) in the refrigerator, coffee and tea in the kitchen as well as fresh fruit in the room every day. Breakfast is toast, cereal and croissants. Right from the moment of the initial, the team at Matisse couldnt have been more helpful and professional. Roberto, the owner, was charming. The relaxed atmosphere was welcome after a long day travelling. His restaurant recommendation was perfect. Although they were fully booked on our last pass thru Rome, the staff once again went above and beyond by helping us find alternate accommations in their neighbourhood. We will definetly stay here again and highly recommend BB Matisse!
