Generator was a great place to stay in Venice. Even though it is on Giudecca, there is a vaporetto stop near the hostel and getting to St. Mark's Square is quick and easy. They helped me to charge my phone when my cable got broken.
Very comfortable beds with lights that don't disturb others. Quite cheap, good breakfast for additional price.
It was a half-populated 16 person dorm, but it was comfortable to stay there.
It is on a separate island from the city center, but public transport is working all the night so it's not a problem.

Staff fantastic, friendly, heartfelt, did the extra to make our stay magnificent. Perfect house keeping, concierge and room with welcome drinks in the room for parents and kids. Food and drinks delicate. Well selected toilet amenities. -

My stay at Giudecca Bella was wonderful, and allowed for a more relaxed and quiet stay in Venice, than staying on San Marco. And the great thing is it is only 2 minutes away from San Marco on the ferry. Very friendly and welcoming, very pretty, and the price is right, particularly for Venice. Highly recommended! -

With the ferry it only takes 2 min. to get over the small channel of Giudecca.
The price is perfect as well. Most of the hotels in Venice are really expensive, but here I paid less.

We loved Andreas. He's the most organized, warm, friendly, patient manager I've met during our 10 day trip to Italy. He would have no problem managing upscale hotels like the Ritz. He responded immediately, from the moment we booked online. He always greets us by name and with a smile. Probably the nicest place my girlfriend and I stayed at during our trip
through Italy. (Admittedly, we were traveling on a budget and mostly
renting through airbnb.) This is a true B&B, with Massimo and his
wife coming in the morning to make us coffee. They were very friendly,
telling us to make ourselves at home and opening up the various cakes
and pastries in the kitchen. Venice is expensive, but Ca' Santo
Spirito was fairly good value for city.
