Very nice owner.helpful and very friendly:). Nice small breakfast and the most important thing that you can cook on your own. Room is very clean and bathroom also. It was really the cheapest available.
Since we were travelling by car, we needed parking, which meant we needed to stay out of downtown anyway. Bus connection to downtown is OK, but not that frequent on weekends. You can get a taxi for around 10 EUR, which is what we did twice.
Rooms in the B&B looked really nice. We were 3 and stayed at a small apartment close by, which was big and comfortable, except for the sofa bed

A very nice and clean small hotel near the downtown (less than 20 minutes of walking) of Florence and close (less than 15 of walking) to the St. Maria Novella railway station. It's located in a small and quiet district without any through traffic.
And to be fair, I liked the hotel manager more than the hotel. He was so kind to draw a personal map

What a great place to stay. Generally check in ends at 8:30pm but Marco stayed up until midnight for us. He was so helpful and walked us through all the sites and gave us great restaurant recommendations. Our room was clean, large, and there was always complimentary wine in the entrance way. Paolo made us great breakfasts and was a joy to see in the mornings. With its close proximity to town, large new rooms, free wifi and free wine, this is a perfect place to stay.

The hotel has recently been taken over and the owners are both friendly and ambitious to make improvements where possible. The room is large and after spending a day in bed sick, I can tell you how comfortable the bed is! Breakfast was small and simple but I do believe this is one of the changes to be made. We were within 10 minutes walk of the Duomo and downstairs is a fab coffee shop and one of the best kebab shops I've ever eaten at!

Florence is a great place to visit - unforgetable views, architecture, museums.
Hotel is located close to the railway station, which makes it a good choice if you are travelling by train.
We were warm welcomed by the staff and owner. The stay was comfortable.

The location is super convenient. Its just 900m walk from the main station. It's a typical bed and breakfast with 3-4 rooms. But its nice and clean. Our host was really welcoming and offered help with providing maps etc. Breakfast was small, but unlimited coffee and cake. While checkout, we needed to keep our luggage for a while and the host arranged for it by giving us a spare key of the main door.

We had a great stay in Ghiacciaie! Very kind staff, comfortable fresh looking room and facilities. Great feeling like staying in our own home! Our room had windows facing to the railways but finally it was no use worrying about: it was quiet at night. Location is great for travelers without car, 10 minutes walk from the railway station so you could easily reach most Florence attractions on foot.

Stayed here for three nights in September 2013. The B&B is located 5 minutes (walking) from the main train station in Florence. It is on the ground floor of a beautiful, traditional style building. The room was big, the bathroom spacious, and both were kept immaculately clean during our stay.
