  New Delhi was our first stop in India and we chose Soi Boutique Hotel for the excellent price and good reviews on letsbookhotel.com. I can easily say that I felt at home at Soi. 1) Location: The location is fantastic. It's in an elegant and quiet neighborhood, very close to all major Old Delhi attractions. In addition, there - The owner, Aditya, was extremely helpful - he suggested places to go around town, helped us book a day trip to the Taj Mahal, and arranged rides to and from the airport. There were free mangoes and bottled water in the communal fridge. The A/C in our room proved crucial for surviving the Delhi summer heat. Defence Colony is apparently one of the safer neighborhoods in Delhi. We didn't run into any trouble while we were there. The place is gated and guarded. There is a nice park nearby.
