The hotel manager Fridjon was excellent, really helpful and nice. The
apartment is immaculate and equipped with everything you could want. The
location is brilliant - just overlooking the harbour, only 2 minutes
walk from the Reykjavik town square (which also means it's a lot
quieter at 5am when everyone is coming out of pubs/clubs!)

This place must be the best value in Reykjavik. I walked into my room and had a mini-jaw drop as I saw the quality of the furnishings, the comfortable bed, the NEWness of everything, and a well-stocked kitchenette. Breakfast is a tray of goodies - bread, jams, cheese. They also provide cartons of milk and orange juice that you are free to use up.

Everything was great - clean, spacious, comfortable, well-equipped (wifi in room, kitchen facilities, ipod dock), and the bath was lovely. The staff were friendly & helpful, dealing with some of my tourist queries including phone calls to local tour companies. The location is very central and you can walk to all shopping, bars, restaurants, harbour etc. Most tour companies pick up and drop off outside the hotel.

The location is smack downtown, the apartments are spacious, stylish and
have everything one would wish for, and upon asking Ymir would provide
something extra we hadn't thought of before. The house itself is a
wonderful old building with bags characther located in a very narrow,
almost hidden away street.

We felt welcome and comfortable the minute we walked in. The location
was perfect for us. You can walk all over town or catch a bus nearby to
go explore. There was plenty of room to be comfortable, the apartment
was clean, and well supplied, although I did go out and buy an American

An excellent apartment. Very clean, modern furnishings, extremely
helpful owners and super location. We would definitely recommend. It is
a 2 minute walk to the main shopping street, supermarket is 5 mins away.
We cooked to save some money on eating out and chilled out watching tv
and dvds. Shower /wet room is gorgeous – our sons didn’t want to get
out! Double bed (very comfortable hard mattress) and two singles all in
