The owner (the man) was very friendly (knows German and Hungarian, his wife knows English+.) It was VERY clean! The bedding smelled freshly washed. We slept in the 4-person unit that's in the tower. We received a warm welcome from our landlord, and the guesthouse is just at the end of this small town. His wife, who speaks English, was away, but he speaks good German. He recommended one of the many wine houses for a tasting, and he also arranged for us to visit a barrel maker in his small factory.

Nice family run Panzio in one of the best locations in Tokaj. But don't expect a 5 Star place: the Bar Fridge is NOT a mini fridge in your room, where you pay maxi prices to be your own barman; it's a big fridge in the bar, where the owner and his family serve the drinks at friendly Hungerian prices. The Imola Udvarhaz is ideally situated next to the castle in the beautiful old spa town of Eger. Everything was spotlessly clean; the breakfast was delicious and the restaurant was excellent.
