Nice family run Panzio in one of the best locations in Tokaj. But don't expect a 5 Star place: the Bar Fridge is NOT a mini fridge in your room, where you pay maxi prices to be your own barman; it's a big fridge in the bar, where the owner and his family serve the drinks at friendly Hungerian prices. The owner (the man) was very friendly (knows German and Hungarian, his wife knows English+.) It was VERY clean! The bedding smelled freshly washed. We slept in the 4-person unit that's in the tower. We received a warm welcome from our landlord, and the guesthouse is just at the end of this small town. His wife, who speaks English, was away, but he speaks good German. He recommended one of the many wine houses for a tasting, and he also arranged for us to visit a barrel maker in his small factory.

The size of our 2 person suite was great and we were pleased that there was a small kitchenette in the room, this was half separated from the bedroom which is handy with little ones.
We had a decent sized private outside area off our room that would have been lovely if the weather was warm enough!
The hotel is situated right next to the valley which is perfect for wine tasting.

Superb location for Miskolc-Tapolca cave baths. The staff were helpful and friendly, especially the man in charge of check-in / out. We had two buffets (breakfast and dinner) and both were very tasty! -
