Nice family run Panzio in one of the best locations in Tokaj. But don't expect a 5 Star place: the Bar Fridge is NOT a mini fridge in your room, where you pay maxi prices to be your own barman; it's a big fridge in the bar, where the owner and his family serve the drinks at friendly Hungerian prices. The hotel is in a fabulous setting and the building is unique. Our bedroom was very comfortable and there are good, clean leisure facilities. We are definitely planning to return to this hotel. - The view from our balcony was very beautiful. It overlooked the lake and the waterfall.

We received a warm welcome from our landlord, and the guesthouse is just at the end of this small town. His wife, who speaks English, was away, but he speaks good German. He recommended one of the many wine houses for a tasting, and he also arranged for us to visit a barrel maker in his small factory.
