Good location, in the middle of VIII district, just a short walk from underground (Blaha Lujza ter or Kalvin ter), restaurants, cafes. Loved this small, thoughtfully decorated hotel. Small, intimate and lots of attention to detail. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Went out of their way to help us with visiting sites, getting taxis, etc. Very reasonably priced, good location. We missed our connection to Budapest because of weather and thus forfeited a night we had paid for at the Beletage, but the hotel let us have a free night on our return! We were impressed - thank you!

I simply loved this hotel. The innkeeper Victor is very friendly and helpful. This place is great! The owner, Viktor, is a very nice guy and was extremely helpful. We arrived late in the evening and he arranged a taxi to pick us up from the airport.
The Budavar Pension is clean, quiet and is in an excellent location, very close to the Fisherman's Bastion, Buda Castle and is only a 5 to 10 minute walk from the Chain Bridge. I would definitely recommend this hotel!

The best atmosphere we've ever experienced. The hotel is run by a family which lives in the same building (a couple and their 8 year old son). The lady does all the organizational work (reception, breakfast cooking etc).

Everything. The owner is the real deal, does not just go thru the motions but really cares that you are happy and taken care of. Takes the time to go the extra 100 miles, for advice to plan your day or your trip, to make custom eggs for breakfast, to make sure you have everything you need in your room. The place is nice, the rooms are clean and modern. The fact that it is in the suburbs is a slight inconvenience that I would gladly suffer again to stay here. The busstop is a 2 minute walk, come

We had a wonderful stay at Kalmar Pensio. It is a beautiful 120 year old mansion comverted into a Pension in an excellent location. It is very near the Chain Bridge in Budapest, right behind the Gellert Baths and so easily accessible to all major sightseeing venues yet in a residential area. The Manager, Ester made us very welcome and was very informative and helpful. We had a huge room with a lovely balcony overlooking the garden and a huge bathroom! What more could you ask for?!
