  Next to the Skistation - what a gem! It's really unique. The interior is so cosy! Rooms are comfortable and the cakes they have are the best i ve had ever! Breakfast has cake too... yum... The staff are helpful and friendly. I felt bad for interrupting their lunch break and for arriving early but they were understanding and helped plan our afterno... lo que la gente dice » on! Food is reasonably priced and the restaurant closes at 9pm! It's next to the beautiful Gorge and Cable cars with easy buses to Mt. Zugsplitze, Rat - Amazing location, just at the starting point of various mountain trails, so it's a good place to make a "base camp" for hiking in Alps. Famous Partnach gorge is also nearby, and it's quite easy to get to the downtown or Zugspitze train station. Rooms are spacious and equipped with cosy furniture, breakfast was good and delicious (home-made jams - yummy!) . Staff is very friendly and helpful.

I highly recommend the Gasthof Fraundorfer. - We liked everything about our stay. The free breakfast was wonderful. I was rarely even hungry for lunch. The staff was warm and helpful.
