Excellent location with quiet spacious gardens. Excellent restuarant with a la carte or tableau doit menus. Warm, welcoming staff, excellent food and wine and stunning decor - our superior room was superb. Lovely room, superb food, friendly staff. easy to find, excellent food menu. Welcoming. pleasant atmosphere and helpful staff. Very peacefull. Lovely, traditionally furnished room. ample private parking. Good restuarant - although a little pricey.

The ability to relax in a peaceful environment after a long drive from southern france, also the superb meal we had.Nice house, very quiet and relaxed, good food. We are old hands at the hotel and we like the comfort and ease of the return journey to Calais. peace and quiet. Staff very helpful when we phoned to advise late arrival. Peace and quiet.The beautiful salon and dining/sitting rooms and our bedroom was beautifully decorated and with four poster bed. The whole hotel had a lovely ambience. The evening meal was very good. Decor and furnishings were stylish and comfortable and in good order,but, Evening dinner was on the whole good,but expensive. Friendly staff, warm welcome and good service. Very handy for Boulogne. There is very little else apart from the hotel in Le Wast so you really are there for the food!. Rather pricey wine list. Continental breakfast a little basic.No tea/coffee making facilities in the room, even though it was more like a suite than a room. Poor TV reception. We thought the evening meal was overpriced, the wines very expensive and the breakfast was a bit mean given that cheese/ham not included. garden was mainly car park. I thought the continental breakfast could have been more varied. It only consisted of a croissant and half baguette with butter and jam. We would have appreciated some yoghurt, cereal and cheese.Superior rooms with bath were dark and would have liked it to be a little larger in size,but tastefully decorated. Room was an odd shape that did not lend itself to comfort. bed was soft and the low ceilings led to a few bumps to the head!. Evening meal was disappointing. I had duck in a sauce which was very salty - waitress asked if ok, told her it was very salty and that was last I heard. Wines expensive for type of hotel. poorly soundproofed bedroom. Restaurant.- Food was quite expensive and only ok. Service was good andthe restaurant is really elegant.Breakfast was poor -just croissants andbread. A hotel of this standing should have offered eggs or cereal oryoghourt and fruits even in france!. food choice on set dinner menu not great, made less good value by poor exchange rate. Very cramped attic 'superior' room. No shower curtain or head room. Food very fancy but not substantial. Breakfast only orange juice, croissant and a little preserve. Food expensive and, in our cases, poor. The winelist was outrageously expensive; the best we could find was 5Euro for a glass of house wine and 3Euro for a small bottle of water. Our "superior" room had no window to look out of, and was accessed only from the outside via a dangerous slippery ladder.
