  We were given a warm welcome on our arrival at Au Nid des Thes. The hotel is situated on a pedestrian street in the small town and has easy access to shops and restaurants. There is no special carpark but parking can be found easily nearby. We were in the "Caramel" room on the second floor. Breakfast was delicious and included in the price. The - The location in the centre of Brantome meant easy access to the wonderful canals, abbeye, shops and restaurants. Breakfast was a simple but very well done Continental with homemade preserves. Sandrine was very helpful and the room was large, well equipped and very clean. Excellent all round and we would stay there again.

  The accommodation is beautifully presented , decor lovely , very comfortable and cozy . The restaurant is excellent and we enjoyed a real great meal . The lady owner/manager was really friendly , helpful and concerned that we had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. The breakfast is amazing . All local produce . The rooms are modern, clean, comfortable, and well laid out. Their consideration is reflected in little things: a warm greeting, lovely breakfast with homemade jams, local butter, farm yogurt, and local 'pain'. Upon our departure, the husband/chef came out to our car to bid us farewell. 'See you again' is more like it.

  I had been to Brantome the year before on a sightseeing trip from the Limousin and had thought it a rather delightful place, so for a treat we decided to come back this way for an extra night stop on our way home and use the Charbonnel as the restaurant is often recommended in guide books. Excellent walking opportunities. We were in the annex so enjoyed a lovely large room with our car parked safely under our window. Staff offered help in getting suitcases upstairs. Comfortable bed and pillows.
