Excellent base for getting around although you do need to be prepared for a bit of walking. Well equipt and clean apartment with immaculately kept grounds/pool etc. lovely shady walk to the beach along the harbourside. Promenade with bars', shops and restaurants down to Lapad beach a 10 minute walk away. A bus ride into the Old town. So easy to get around and so much to see. staff very helpful.

The only small criticism would be that the beds were rather hard!

The owner went out of his way to help us and make us feel very welcome.

The two single beds pushed together as a double bed did not make for a very comfortable sleep as a couple

Clean and functional facilities. Martin was GREAT and most helpful. A quiet place, away from the hustle and bustle and yet easily accessible to public transport, supermarket and restaurants.

Martin and Liliana were so caring and friendly that i felt at home. I enjoyed swimming and the view from the top was amazing~!

Friendly staff especially the owner, the unit was very clean and the whole block was very well looked after, great pool area, good location, away from the busy part but a short walk from the water and the coffee shops, supermarket within a short walk, 10 minute bus ride from the old city, very quite area. Apartments run like a hotel, what more can you ask for?

Pool was a bit cold Seemed a little bit out of the town but it was easy and cheap enough to get a taxi to old town and we didn't stay in Dubrovnik long enough to explore fully

Clean and modern well equipped apartments within walking distance to grocery store, restaurants, beach and bus stop. Easy bus ride (number 6) to old town. Owner Martin was very friendly and helpful - he even went to the trouble of picking us up from the bus stop! Pool looked lovely and top floor apartments have great views.

The villa is in a good location for exploring Dubrovnik and the surrounding area, especially if you have a car. There is a lovely coastal walk just a minutes walk from the villa, and loads of places to swim or watch the cruise boats coming in and out of the port. If you climb up the garden at the back of the pool there are wonderful views over the port and bridge. The old town is a short bus or taxi ride away. There is a great fish restaurant within easy walk.The apartment was spotlessly clean, with good wifi and the pool welcoming and a good place to relax. Martin, the owner is welcoming and attentive and nothing was too much trouble for him.

No living area. The balcony is off the bedroom and is shared with the next door apartment.

Amazing Villa closish to Dubrovnik. Very clean and comfortable. Pool looked amazing and it had a great view

We had a car so getting around was easy. With out a car getting to the Port/Old City/Bars/Restaurants would be a bit more difficult

Martin and his family make every effort to ensure you have every thing you need. The apartment 's are well equipt clean and very quite, good for any ones needs.

A little far out buthas a good bus service so not that much of a problem.

Apartments are well located in a peaceful area with 10minute taxi ride to the old city and 5 min walk to the beach. Martin is super friendly and helpful. Kitchen is well equipped. Showers nice and hot with no water shortage. Lovely small pool to cool off.

The landlord was very nice and helpful. The apartment must have been the nicest and most modern that I stayed in Croatia (I've stayed in 5 different ones). It's close to the Copacabana beach, the port and there's a food store quite close as well. The old town is a bit further away but there's a bus going there that stops near by. I'd definitely recommend this place for accommodation.

Apartment was very clean and modern. The location was excellent, very close to beach and the old town. The owner Martin was extremely helpful and ensured that you didn't have to think to much about anything as he organised it all for you. Excellent service!!

Only 2 negative comments I would give is that the beds were a little uncomfortable and the apartment was very dark with no natural light. However these were only minor in the greater scheme of things.

Martin was a fabulous host who made us feel welcome and comfortable from the minute we arrived. The location is also perfect. You can walk to the promenade in Lapad and to Cococobana beach. There is also a mini-market just a few blocks away. The pool is perfect for relaxing after a hot day. The bus station is also a short walk away, which made getting to the Old City easy.

The Staff at villa borna were so lovely, could not do enough for us. The apartment was clean and comfortable and the wifi worked perfectly. We were in the very ground floor so the pool was a bit of a hike to get to up all the stairs in the heat but it was worth it when you got up there! The supermarket is a 5min walk down the street. Overall a lovely stay at brilliant accomodation.

The walk to the bus is uphill and not my favourite activity when it was so warm but the bus only takes about 10mins into the old city. It was a bit further away from the beach than I thought(10-15min).

The location is very convenient to combine a city trip with a beach. A bus stop to the old center and Copocabana beach are both within walking distance. The host is charming and considerate. Rooms are quite, clean and with stable internet connection.

No breakfast option, though every room has a kitchen.

We liked everything about Villa Borna especially the helpful and friendly staff and owner for whom nothing was ever too much trouble. Location is excellent for beach, shop and bus stop though like everywhere in Dubrovnik there are some steep slopes to negotiate.

The owner was a huge character and made us laugh the entire time (the whole family were lovely and helpful). Great location for walking to gruz harbour, beach, old town etc.

Excellent location - easy walk to the city bus that takes you into the old town of Dubrovnik within 10 mins. There is a grocery store just down the street. Very quiet neighborhood with a quick walk down to the beach trail -well groomed trail walk all along the beach. 10 minute walk to the famous Orsan Restaurant that serves incredible fresh seafood. Martin, the owner, is very helpful and will make arrangements for any excursions or transportation. His son speaks perfect English and so if Martin doesn't understand what you are saying, his son can assist.

Excellent location for both beach and the old town. Apartments are well kept and very clean. The owners are lovely people and willing to help in anyway they can to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable. Dubrovnik itself and the people are brilliant and I would recommend a visit.

The rom was very clean. There was a fridge, a stove, everything you need to make a small meal. The beds were comfortable, the AC worked well. It's nice when a room is really dark to sleep in the morning, at the villa, the drapes were not occluant but they were better than a lot of places we stayed!! We felt very welcomed, the owners were very kind. We were looking for a place to do laundry and they offered to do it for a small fee, it was very appreciated, we didn't waste any time of our vacation!!

Martin, the innkeeper, is a very friendly and gregarious host. I enjoyed speaking my limited German with hi, although he is proficient in English. Our apartment was immaculate and well equipped. Villa Borna is in a quiet residential neighborhood near a market. It's a short walk to the bus stop for the 10 minute ride to the old town.

The apartment was very clean and had plenty of room. There's a swimming pool which is also very nice which I used. The apartment is about 5 min walk from the harbour and 10 min walk to the bus stop. The owner is very helpful and gave directions to local attractions.

The apartment could offer a map of the local area as this was our first time in Dubrovnik.

Good location and a fair price for its proximity to Dubrovnik centre. You will need a car or take the bus though if you want to visit the old town. Some restaurants closeby, easily within walking distance, by the harbour too.

Absolutely perfect. Owner Martin and family live on site and are excellent hosts; generous, kind, friendly and take time to introduce everything to you; will do washing and even let us use their apartment to change in on our last day. Quiet residential area, no through road, path to beach and coast path; Villa Borna has sunny terraces, a lovely small pool. We had a spotless studio apartment with kitchenette, excellent water pressure so great shower; hair dryer, plug socket near mirror, tv, wifi. Location is lovely- walk up to the top of the garden and see 360 degrees. Incredible value for money. Five minutes walk for bus into Dubrovnik (uphill walk), very frequent service 15kn (about £1.50) into town. Consider buying Dubrovnik Card.Taxi from airport around e30 (there is a shuttle bus into the old town). Supermarket Pemo selling everything just around the corner, Orsan fish restaurant 10 mins walk at the harbour (overlooking Gruz and the big cruisers) is excellent; Woodfired pizza Restaurant Blindje further along was great too (also fish and Croatian home cooking). Hotel Lapad does a good cocktail. Take cable car to fort to see the view and story of the 1991 Siege. Three Island tour a must, as is a visit to Lokrum. The Dalmatian coastline is absolutely stunning and is similar to Amalfi - but much, much longer! The Croatian people are wonderful - thanks to Martin and his family for sharing this all. The place is clean and nice

The actual place seem to be overstated in their ad on the net. There seems tobe only a small apt. That has a sea view, and it was not stated in the actual format what you are getting. Otherwise , everything seems ok

Grocery store within walking distance. Proprietor's son met us and was very friendly. Nice patio to enjoy food. equipped kitchen.

Owner was overly friendly ... Like a salesman! TV and WiFi worked half the time. Uncomfortably bed. Hot water was turned off and we had to wait for it to heat up. Taxi to Dubrovnik was more than the owner told us. take the bus to town - to far to walk.
