Lo que la gente dice
This was a great first stop on our holiday to Croatia! It took us a little while to find the place but that was entirely our fault as we were walking up the wrong street. Location wise it's in walking distance of old town but far enough away that it's perfectly peaceful. Yes there are steps, we counted 301 from old town to your front door, but if you're concerned about hills or steps, I'd think twice about staying in Dubrovnik unless you're paying top dollar for the expensive hotels at the bott. todo comentarios »
The flat was well-kitted out with a kitchenette and very good wi-fi reception. The small balcony was perfect for two people to sit and appreciate the view over Dubrovnik. We were also supplied with clean towels after the second day and the bins were also cleaned daily.
Once you’ve got use to the amount of steps from the old town, it is actually very close to everything you need.
Finally, on our second booking the owner offered to pick us up from the bus station.
Brilliant location about 5 minutes walk from Pile Gate - easy for the bus to/from the airport and is even walking distance to the bus station/port if you like a wander.
The balcony has a great view over the sea and the Old Town.
The owner is really lovely, doesn't speak much English but her son and grandson do. When we wanted to extend our stay they found us a room with a neighbour (Kazo Apartments) so we didn't have to do any work at all...
The location was great, five minutes walk from the old town with views over the old town and Adriatic. It was my birthday whilst we were staying here, which Maria must have worked out from my passport. She knocked the door and presented me with a rose and a bottle of red wine which was a really kind gesture. The grape vine over the balcony creates a nice shade from the sun and the smell of citrus and Jasmine is pleasantly intoxicating.
From the moment we arrived we felt like we were home. Maria is wonderful! Although limited English we were able to communicate. She treated us like family. Wonderful to sit on balcony and overlook the Old City of Dubrovnik. A short walk to the Old City although you need to be fit to undertake. Parking is about 200m away so be prepared to carry your luggage up a few flights of stairs.
Fantastic place for a simple stay in an excellent location. It's quiet enough for a good night's sleep away from the old town, but close enough to wander in down the steps. The view was fantastic and the kitchen facilities have everything you need for basic self catering. There's a patisserie and supermarket just up the road. We loved it!.
Friendly owner who takes great pride in her lovely garden. Amazing view from balcony so the steps are worthwhile. Comfy spacious apartment with good facilities: air conditioning, good gas stove, kitchen utensils, large tv and comfy bed. Fresh towels delivered daily.
The apartment is set away from main rd so is very peaceful.
The apartment was spacious and clean with a fabulous view of the Old Town of Dubrovnik and the Fortress. Maria kept a beautiful garden, well cared for and colourful. There are a lot of steps up from the road but we did not have a problem with them and being high up enhanced the view.
Friendly, helpful reception by the family members. Nothing was too much trouble. Wonderful view of the old town from our balcony. Excellent local shops and just five minutes walk to the Pile Gate.
Lovely balcony, with view of old town, ocean, and even cruise ships. Very clean, about 10 minute walk to old town. From the old town a 10 minute bus ride to the main bus station. We loved it.
Liked the amazing views from the small balcony. The owner and his mother were friendly and we were able to pay them for pick up/drop off at airport which was very convenient.

Ample hot water.
Great location, great facility. Beautiful view from the balcony where we had breakfasts. Helpful staff, even providing a welcome beer.
Close location to old town, good view, lovely owner.
Very good the location (close to the old town) and nice view from
the balcony.
There was no hairdryer, but one was provided when asked. A steep climb from the old town, but this is the case with most of the accommodation facilities close to the old town. As mentioned above, you do get a beautiful view.
Nothing.
If I had to nitpick, the shower door stuck on it's runners and could be awkward to open. The balcony might also benefit from some heavy artillery to take out the cruise ships before they dock and clog up the Stradun with day trippers.
More signage could be shown at street level indicating where the house is.
No problems really. You need to know that there's 323 steps from the old town up to the apartment - but it's a lovely walk and not a problem to us at all.
Its a very steep climb up and down the steps to/from the old town. Beware if you are not fit. Quite exhausting.
Wifi signal weak.
Take care in the shower, the hot tap is blisteringly hot when shower is on.
Bed linen was not changed during our stay. Bed also not made up.
Owners will hold your passport until you pay full cash amount. Something to bear in mind if you are planning a trip to Bosnia and if you were planning paying on departure.
If Milos had not met us on the road below we would have had a problem finding it. There needs to be a sign for the apartments from the road with arrows leading up.
Romms were quite basic and there were lots of steps to climb.
No hair dryer. Only other problem was that the written instructions for the TV did not match the remote control in hand; we never got around to asking for instructions so never used. You should also be aware that the apartment is reached by climbing 76 steps up from the street level.
Weak Wi-fi connection, shower and beds could be more comfortable.
Very hard to find a parking spot and expensive as well!. The price on
the street is around 20€/day (and not 12 as indicated by the
apartment description)
If you are in Dubrovnik with car I recommend looking for an apartment with private parking
Also, the kitchen equipment was a bit too limited, what mi missed the most was a bigger pot and a colander (to cook pasta) and a bowl for breakfast.
