A beautiful hotel with wonderful rooms but let down by the noise from the rooms above....from early evening throughout the night and again morning. Stayed 4 nights and each night was spoilt by heavy stomping feet above, scraping furniture and echoing movement. Maybe carpet is needed? I emailed in advance to ask for a high room but was given 2nd floor. I questioned this during the booking in process but was told that there were no rooms (suites) available on higher level floors. Nice friendly staff, we booked one of the family rooms, it was spacious, clean and a good size.
The hotel sits directly behind the Royal Palace so it's walking distance down to the Riverside and the numerous restaurants along the front. If you don't want to walk there are plenty of tuk tuk's you can take.
Nice swimming pool with a bar and a few tables around it if you fancy lunch or a snack by the pool.

I found this place to be terrific value at us$69 per night which
included a first-rate breakfast at the hotel's poolside cafe. My
