We arrived after a long frustrating travel to a warm local welcome smiling face and a free caprinhi. Which made us relaxed, the upstairs living area was lush with wood floors throughout and the you look right through the wall to wall glass doors to an awe inspiring view of the city with sugar loaf mountain in the far left distance and Christ the redeemer on the hills to the right. What is there not to like? -

Leila and Luiz are fantastic hosts. They make you feel at home in their house and help out willingly and effectively. The location is very unique, located between the city center and South part of town, it's possible to reach any part of Rio quickly.

The owners Leo & Leila have just opened their beautifull family home to guests. I felt lucky to have come across this lovely family residence before they become to popular. I felt a welcome guest of the family rather than a customer. Leo & Leila went out of their way to make my stay as pleasant and accommodating as possible. What is there not to like about this brilliantly conceived guest house? The attention to detail in every aspect was much appreciated. Perfect for a two-three day getaway and would work well if the beach is not an option (winter) or just to mix it up before/after a few days at the beach. The area itself is interesting and from what I gather has some cool drinking holes and restaurants. One could start and finish a book in peace here, yet 'feel Brazilian', and not feel they need to join the flock of tourists seeing the usuals in Rio. I enjoyed spending time at the bar, restaurant and spa - perfect for a day of indulgence!

Even before we left the UK our host Isobel was most welcoming arranging pick up at the airport. We woke up the next morning to the most amazing view and fantastic breakfast on the veranda. I am a regular visitor to Rio, the views from Rio Panoramic are the best I have seen, absolutely stunning! Set in the hills of Santa Theresa, this beautiful house has been lovingly restored and furnished and decorated with great taste.
