The ease of having baggage delivered and picked up from doorstep. Clean and comfortable accommodation with everything supplied good for the budget conscious traveller in a stunning location.
I've been going to Rottnest for many years. Its one of my favourite places to visit. Having a large kitchen and BBQ is great for those wanting to save money and cook your own meals.
I love the island, the bike riding and the easy going atmosphere. The accomodation is very good. I have stayed many times in different units and they have all been excellent. todo comentarios »
Really enjoyed the tranquility along with a great Sports Bar. Governers.
Awesome Food with very reasonable prices. Rottnest Express a very
professional and reliable service.
Our two room unit was more than adequate for our needs. We left the
ourside gate open and had quokkas pearing in through the flyscreen door
:) Would use facilities again.
Staff very friendly and helpful. Enjoyed two very relaxing days just doing what we wanted to do. Good eat places and friendly visitors like ourselves.
I think the up grades on the units are wonderful. You have kept the Rottnest feel but have made the accommodation clean and fresh. Well done.
Very clean and comfortable room a stones throw from the beach.
The staff were very acomodating with check out times.
Loved the casual atmosphere, our kids' first visit and they're keen to go back, perhaps in nicer weather. :-).
Beaches, rugged coastline, vegetation, quokkas, cycling tracks, fishing, boating, history, museum, walking.
The location: it's ease of access to the basin beach. The cooking facilities were great and easy to use!!.
Easy & convenient check-in/out process, only a short stroll to the cabin even with luggage was easy.
love rottnest wonderful place
the beaches and the facilities are very good and the people are great.
quokkas ,fishing ,beer, bikes, steak,a lot of activities, pellican, best holiday we've had in a few years.
Loved it all....accommodation, wildlife, bike hiring and riding, friendliness...all,.
the general lack of pace and lack of city noise. The natural environment.
Our accomadation for price was good compared to others on Island.
Everything staff friendly and helpful great accommadation.
Spending time with my family in a relaxed environment.
great location, great tours, great flight.
Was very relaxed and lots of execise.
Location
Value for money.
Relaxed Atmosphere.
The staff at reception were great. The accommodation was a better standard then I'd anticipated. Lots of equipment in the kitchen and while basic, quite comfortable. The authorities have put more activities in place and the standard of the eateries seemed generally improved. Also popular areas were cleaner and had less litter.
Very relaxing the island had a lot of choices of things to do, love the
bike ridding and beaches, excellent band playing on the Sat night.
Beautiful island, good accomodation, i love that there are no cars!, nice beaches, cool retro postcards in the salt store.
I like that there are no cars on the island and everyone has to commute by walking, cycling or bus.
I have been coming to Rotto for forty years! Enough said.
Liked Rottnest and the relaxed feeling. And the Qokkas.
close to ferry jetty, eating places and beach.
The nature and wildlife.
Was slightly concerned about the security of baggage.
Beds are very hard and can be uncomfortable!.
Ferries are expensive and so are the restaurants.
The fact that having a Premium Villa and having to provide your own
toilet paper. Aristos Seafood Restaurant deters people from eating there
due to the excessive prices for dining. $134.00 for a seafood platter.
Seriously?.
I was really disappointed by the cost of the travel and food. Everything was soooooo expensive. It is no longer a family holiday as it is cheaper to go to Bali and eat out.
Would have been nice to have basic coffee/tea/sugar etc in the room.
Expensive to feed a family at the larger restaurants.
Nothing comes to mind.
Shower's soap holder really needs replacing - not a drilled hole.
The check-in/out times are not convenient, they could be more flexible when most of the cabins were empty.
The storage facilities are very expensive, particularly if you only need the storage for a few hours due to the expected early check out time.
rain and sun when there is too much of it they do need shelters at the jetty and on the way from visitor centre to the jetty you have to wait to board and disembark and a walk through shelter would be a bonus and maybe a couple of shelters at bus stops.
service at rottnest hotel not enough staff to accomodate customers I really searched for a negative though.....
Cost of eating.....not a lot of choices to eat in the evenings.
The youngsters drinking and carring on till late, pity they cant go to that island off Salmon bay and drink there?.
A bit misleading where it show accomadation on map,we ended up 800mts
away at camping ground with all the noise of the ya hoos.
nothing.
2pm booking ridiculous.9am book out ridiculous specially when you so many cabins empty.
Over priced as trying to support own state & linen, tv etc not
included when cabins elsewhere in other states are much cheaper &
everything included.
Early check out time.
Nothing.
We stayed in a cabin and though it was mostly clean, the inside table was disgusting! It was sticky and when I wiped it, the cloth was almost black. So how really clean was the rest of the cabin?? Also the fly screens were extremely dusty. I would have liked a ceiling fan in the cabin and some shelf space in the kitchen.
Thought the boat trip over was a little pricey. And dont like the idea
of baggage been left out side off accomadation for delivery and pick up,
then was sent over back to main land hrs befor we got over there , so
was just sitting there for anyone to help them self.
the weather, it was a bit cold. too many families with children.
quokas are a little too friendly going into the cabins maybe getting them fenced off. I have been to rottnest a numberr of times over the years and have travelled to other countries although I enjoy the simplicity of the island it has not evolved .
The aroma of decaying rodent that radiated from the living area of our unit. After fourty years of visiting Rotto I was bitterly disappointed by this situation.
I booked 1 double and 2 singles and we had to push 2 single beds together. No tea coffee or water in the room and no where open until 8am!! And the ferry left at 8.15 and the kiosk was late opening so no coffee for the morning was a bit naff specially as the price of the ferry tickets and room was city prices.
