Friendly staff at registration and check-out. Also, advised to check temperature of pool in advance of swimming since heater was being repaired. Staff accommodated request for room further away from Freeway noise and away from elevator. Staff members, especially Kathy and Chantal, were very friendly and professional. We also liked that our cat stayed with us with no extra charge! Thank you! Location is good!.

Great breakfast - friendly and helpful staff. I asked for a refrigerator and microwave and they brought it to my room for no extra charge. We have stayed before at this hotel. It is excellent; clean, very convenient and the staff is excellent. That it was in an easy location, clean and comfortable and affordable. The cleaning lady organized my room for me and did a good job cleanin. Location is next to a lot of shopping plazas and places to eat. Very friendly and accommodating staff, large clean room. Location and value. Breakfast and staff was fine, not outstanding. Staff member who checked us in was excellent. easy to find right off the freeway. The staff was friendly and helpful. Although the coffee maker did not work. After reporting the problem. Staff brought us a new working cofee maker. I liked the fact that there was a microwave available for use down in the lobby. Staff was friendly and tried to be responsive to our complaint about the odor in the room. It was fairly comfortable and quiet. Comfortable beds. The tv. Shower drain needs to be cleaned out more thoroughly (remove built-up grime and hair). Nothing. Highway close by was a little noisey until 11 at night. Nothing to complaint about. Nothing. When a guest walked into the breakfast area the receptionist asked him for his room number to make sure he wasn't stealing food I would have been offended by that. The fact that the rooms weren't clearly labeled smoking was kind of a disappointment when I walked in and it smelled strongly of smoke. Only 1 Ice machine for the building we stayed in located on the 1st floor. Nothing, great stay. noise from heater and poor Wi Fi signal. Hotel very outdated. Molding in bathroom chewed up and not painted, parts of carpet threadbare; was smoke-free room but definitely a smoke odor. Barking dog in nearby room. Can only say 4-day stay was tolerable. We asked for a non smoking room. The first room they showed us smelled like smoke. The second room they gave us overwhelmed us with the scent of air freshener. An hour later, smoke smell returned and we found a cig butt in the garbage. My partner had a horrible night as she is allergic to cig smoke. What happened to designated non-smoking rooms! Never again will be stay at La Quinta. If not for that, the beds were very comfortable and clean. appearance of staff could have been upgraded at the front desk. Professional appearance required. stayed on first floor which I never do and everyone came in quite noisy as it is really an upscale motel not a hotel. Overall the room had a dirty appearance. The bathrooms need a good cleaning. there was what appeared to be visible mold in shower and the tub had a grayish coloring to it. There were visible stains on the carpet in the room. Very frustrating only having one small trash can in the restroom. At least another trash can in the room would be nice. Room was not very clean and had a strong musty odor. There was also a constant water drip in the tub/shower. Room was stuffy. A/C wasn't working, was horrible at night since all I had to keep the room cool was a fan. The smell, the bed, the grounds, the staff, the breakfast, the shower head, almost everything.
