CHARM, CHARM, CHARM! A beautiful place froom top to bottom. Our room was amazing, beautifully laid out so that you could enjoy the fireplace and tv, both from the 2 person jacuzzi tub or the very comfortable bed. Really beautiful rustic decor, perfect for the mountains. Awesome location. Close to everything we needed, especially the lake and downtown Tahoe City. Most special of all are the people and the above and beyond service. Suzy made sure our stay was the absolute best. We wishe.
all reviews » The inn is beautiful, charming cabins in a lovely setting. When we checked in we were not happy with our room, it was very small and closed in. The windows opened up to a walkway with people going by so you didn't have privacy. The owner changed our room the next day and we were very satisfied. Breakfast was excellent, cooked each morning with different selections. Each evening they had wine and snacks which were also great. Loved the location, beautiful and a nice drive to emerald bay. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Asked questions to better help us enjoy our stay. They even spent time helping us choose a great place to celebrate my wife's birthday, and then made the reservations for us. Also, loved the ceiling fans in the rooms. The breakfasts were beautifully prepared and served, and we also enjoyed the evening appetizers and drinks. REally loved our time there. the staff was incredibly accommodating. We were there to volunteer for Iron Man Lake Tahoe, and had to leave by 5 am the next morning. they weren't serving breakfast until 8, so the owner brought us banana nut bread, delicious granola and a coffee pot the night before so we would have something when we woke up. They were great with anything we asked for :). Loved staying at the cottage inn! Pros: - fantastic staff; extremely helpful and friendly - hearty breakfast in the morning and wine and cookies in the afternoon - great location - lovely cottages with a fireplace. The staff and facilities were supurb. Friendly people who would spend time and actually talk to you. Excellent service. They go out of their way to accommodate you. We absolutely loved the room Romantic Hideaway and all the little touched, the sps bath was lovely and the bed great, Susi was a wonderful host and the cottages were very cute. Would definitely recommend. Beautiful setting the private beach it was away from the crowds the breakfast -- worked with our guetin free needs close to Tahoe City friendly staff. Cottage Inn is charming, cozy and fun. We liked the grounds, the location, the cabin and the breakfast. We would stay there again for sure!. Everything was just perfect! Everything was well beyond our hopes and expectations. Our first room. The only thing I can think of is there was no comfortable place to sit down in the Rustic Retreat room. There is a long bench, but that really served no purpose other than to place our clothes on. Would of liked a couple chairs with backs instead. But, in the daytime, you can go outside and sit in the common area where there are plenty of comfortable lounge chairs. No issues. We got round to booking too late so ended up doing some room swapping but that was my own fault - book ahead!. The lighting too soft. we had to use our reading lights to read anything. Having to leave!. Mattress was too firm for our liking (but that is a personal thing, others may prefer it that way).
