Right in the middle of the most interesting part of the Columbia Gorge. We were truly grateful to have a place once we had driven all the way from Mt. Rainier through Mt. St. Helen. And coming off the Eagle Creek trail after the sundown to your own place was a reward. I explored the web, there is nothing comparable within 40 miles that can compete with it in terms of quality and price.Good that the motel had a computer: we managed to lose a charger for our laptop somewhere, so could use the mot.

A nice, though kind of hands-off management style. No exercise room. Had a motorcycle group come in and noisy until about 2:00 pm, thumping upstairs. Made sure to get an upstairs room for the next time we stayed. Variety for brkfst was lacking Leaky faucet in sink TV choices were poor. More often than not the person working the front counter did not speak English. That was very frustrating! The one English speaking man was very helpful. 5:00 AM noisy guests packing their car. Smell in the room (non-smoking room but smelt like people had been smoking in it a while ago). The empty tissue box, the chipped coffee pot, the broken ice & soda machine, the weak morning coffee. The TV had very few stations that actually were clear & that I could watch. Doors were "separating" and needed replaced in all 3 rooms. Not a lot of space in the rooms. Television reception with "normal" channels was poor. breakfast was not that good. ice machine did not work and beds not that comfortable. The ice machine & there was no laundry detergent. windows very dirty , hinges on doors inside squeeked., assitant desk person didnt speak english.
