When I arrive late on Monday night, The lady at the reception find out that the hotel did not have the booking made for me. However, she insisted that she will book a room for me whatever the situation. Thanks also that I have a copy of the letsbookhotel.com reservation, it make it easier for her. Because it was late, and I was looking for a bite, she even offer me an apple that I warmly appreciate it. All other staff ( such as the lady at the reception at departure, the waitress in the din.
all reviews » It is by far the best value in the area we come to visit our daughter who goes to brown university the convience of the outdoor parking ( all the downtown hotels are much more expensive and you have to valet park which is a big hassle) we started staying there whe it was the johnson and wales Inn the breakfast was incredible at that time that was the only disappointment when it changed hands to the hilltop inn was that the breakfast was more generic although perfectly fine. This is my second trip to this hotel within the last 2 weeks. Again, I have only praise for the staff excellent customers service, the room large nice and clean, the buffet breakfast which has a mix of continental pastry, and warm Benedict eggs. All this with a hearty greetings and a beautiful smile. Thank you Booking and the Hilltop Hotel staff, especially the lady at the reception in the evening. Large, nicely kept lobby, ipad available for guest use near dining room! Our room was big with comfortable beds, mini-fridge, huge desk and free wifi! Plus an expansive marble bathroom! Staff was friendly and helpful and the continental breakfast was a sit down affair in a well appointed dining room/pub with offerings well past the usual stale donuts and pastries on a table in the lobby!. I liked everything about our stay. When we arrived and checked in, We were automatically bumped up to a deluxe room. Another improtant feature was that the staff treated us like people, not like dollars. When I mentioned that I wasn't charged for a particular service, I was told "Don't worry about it, It's on us" "have a Nice Day". You can't beat that!!. I liked the price per night. The bed was comfortable and linens crisp and clean. Was convenient to Waterfire. Was pleased with the attentive staff. Our request for a fridge was quickly acted upon by cleaning staff (when desk staff thought there were none to bring to us.). Our stay keeps on getting better and better. The staff super friendly. We went to Rhode Island to do the Providence to Bristol bike trail and this hotel was in a great location and very accommodating. The breakfast was a nice add on in a lovely room. Convenient stopover on way from New York to Cape Cod. Staff member recommended nice restaurant called Davenport's, which we enjoyed. The relaxed atmosphere and flexibility. If something came up and had to reschedule I know it would have been easy and hassle free. room was very clean; furniture a bit old but in good condition. staff very accommodating; lovely dining room used for breakfast. Really nice rooms for the $. it was value for money but was dissapointed as were not told there would be no bath only a shower. Nothing could be negative. There wasnt enough help at breakfast they ran out of everything and only one girl was working she was very pleasant but there was always something missing and important things like plates and coffee. The hallways were very narrow and had funny smell. Nothing. The bathrooms really need a facelift. Pillows could be replaced with more fluffy ones. Could use a fridge in every room. I would like the continental breakfast to have some savory diversity - not everyone likes sweet based breakfasts - especially diabetics. Even some hard boiled eggs would have been welcomed. We ended up going out to breakfast where all 4 of us ate savory elsewhere - so that was an added expense we weren't expecting. The breakfast buffet kept running out of food, not enough staff to refill the half and half, coffee, and french toast. Hotel layout was confusing, couldn't find room at first. Motel should provide map. Elevator only goes to 2nd floor, had to walk up to 3rd. Nothing I didnt like, I love the suites. they need to keep track of the luggage cart; took forever to find it. Not a thing!. Some negativities but not deal breakers. The room was warm but registered 45 on the heat dial. Could not get the control to cool the room, so finally opened a window. The breakfast tables were set but crumbs remained on the tablecloths from previous guests. The dining room floor near the bar was littered with straw papers and such, obviously not vacuumed from the night before. No refrigerator in the room. Outdated tv .bar closed,. None to report. A bit confusing layout of the hotel. Not much of a view. Everything was fine. No complaints. It is on a busy road and you have to drive to go anywhere. There are not a lot of restaurants close by. Getting older and could refresh now !. nothing. walking up sterpd with bags/ no smoking area... Tough to find stairs, only one elevator that I could find and I got behind a group of 20. Air conditioner fan NG. Interior is OK but very dated. The drain in our tub did not drain well. limited food offerings. Bathroom outdated. the dining room for breakfast was freezing cold. The mattresses were very old in both rooms . My back is still feeling the effects . Somewhat odd location and no view, but very convenient to Prov. and Barrington, which defined my trip. We stayed 2 night. No one came into the room to tidy up the room after our first night. Did not make beds, empty garbage, pick up clean towels, replace drinking glasses. no bath tub.
