Long Beach is a beautiful resort. The staff was extremely friendly & professional. The restaurants & shopping in nearby St. Armands Square were spectacular. Overall Long Boat Key is a wonderful place for families & young couples to have relaxing vacation. The beach is beautiful and resort staff was waiting at the bottom of the boardwalk each day to ask where you want your complimentary chairs & umbrella set up or cabanna.

Great housekeeping and a fabulous area. the room were spotless and very spacious. We had a double room. Great for family gathering and yound children. close to the beach fantastic view of the water. Our suite was like a home away from home. It had a large, fully functional kitchen, washer dryer and many other cozy features. We had a fabulous view too!. very nice resort. would stay there again. clean and secure setting. close to shopping and dining. able to always park close to our building entrance. Relaxing location on Longboat Key, with Gulf views and endless white beaches; friendly staff; convenient for shops and restaurants in St Armands Circle. Having a kitchen and patio doors is so much better than feeling trapped in a hotel room. They had smoothie makers yeahhh. very friendly and helpful. everything! We have stayed before and would stay again. Would recomend for all ages Lovely spacious suite and fab view with lovely sunsets.. the staff was very pleasant they were very helpful enjoyed our stay and wish we could have stayed longer it was very comforting and relaxing. It was the quickest that I've ever seen for a room service response. the location, the beach, the room set-up--also the inclusion of wireless internet, fitness club, and parking into the price. It had a fabulous beach and the accommodations were first class. The cabana and umbrellas on the beach were included. The beach, the suite, poolside, poolside lunch and drinks, restaurant at the Marina. Beautiful room, great balcony views, close to the beach, nice pool facilities. Dining is expensive, and the automatic 20% service charge should be optional. there was a full kitchen and I understand that we should bring all we need but the basic such as salt pepper and sugar should be available... The resort restaurants are actually at two sites, several miles apart, and although a shuttle service is available, we found it more convenient to drive the 1-2 miles to St Armands Circle to eat. lipstick on glasses. Sunbed broken but they replaced it immediately. I was not able to find out about the amenities such as breakfast until after we dined out for breakfast or the free transportation. There was no Wifi in the room. The breakfast options were slim, and pricey. lack of choice on menu when brunch was being served in the main diningroom. The hidden costs of resort fees, things that exceeded my credit card amount the day we checked in which nearly resulted in our not being able to stay at first; our privacy sign frequently falling off/disappearing from our room door and the room being accessed for cleaning without our knowledge while valuables were left out in plain sight. Floors in hotel room were not vacuumed. The staff was not that friendly or knowledgeable. The tennis was 3 miles away and the pros burned out. Very high prices on food/drinks (especially at casual poolside), already charged a 20% gratuity and tax added on top of that. And we were told by a server outright that the facility took a 5% of that, almost compelling us to add even more!. We were disappointed with our room being on the 3rd floor we asked for an ocean view and did get some but still were disappointed in its location. ask for a gulf view unit. got one that was totally blocked on the third floor by palm trees. no gulf view even though I paid for the view. out of control kids running around the pool and using the hot tub as A toilet. The evening staff was cold and rude. They advertise 6 restaurants on property. Too bad 3 of those are 8 miles away on another property. My room although it did have a water view was on a lower level and also was right over the pool equipment area, not very attractive and a bit noisey. The facilities need a bit of updating. We felt that the prices were very high compared to the service you received at the restaurants on the location. They also put in an automatic 18-20% "service charge" on the meals and spa. This is fine if the service is good but what happens when the service is bad. Tips should be left to the discretion of the person. Price for 1 night. The lights for inside the bathroom were on the outside of bathroom door. A/C was very loud. The towel guy at the pool was great - other staff seemed stressed, poorly trained or less than personable. Brunch was way over priced but a la carte took forever. Wait staff blamed room service volume. How some fresh fruit (the shot glass with minced fruit made us laugh). The rip off in additional charges. What was pitched as a gulf of Mexico view ended being a view of the pool. Our room was located behind the pool bar which made the terrace unusable because of the noise. In the morning we were awaken by bar staff cleaning and filling ice machines. The noise from over-served bar guests lasted well into the evening. The cost of this facility is similar to the cost of other 4-star luxury hotels. Our experience was par with a 3-star.
