Loved the staff: Sarah at front desk was wonderful; bartender at pool who's name I can't remember but who was a wealth of information about dining options; valet guys -everyone was top notch and super friendly. Great hotel, service amazing. Everyone super helpful. I travel a lot for business and will change to Kimpton as the staff go out there way to help. Can't stress how great the staff were enough.
all reviews » Upon checkin they upgraded us to the honeymoon suite which was unexpected and fantastic. Every employee we interacted with was very friendly and gave excellent service!. The reception we received along with the location and comfort of the entire facility. Georgeous hotel located within easy walk of State Street shopping and dining. Great room,good staff and great location near shops and places to eat. + beautiful hotel and design + very friendly staff + great location. The beautiful architecture; easy walk to downtown..and the pool!!. Found the staff remarkably personable. The room was really nice. The customer service was exemplary. Street noise but also hallway noise-revellers coming in late and talking and laughing loudly outside of our room - happened about 3 times during the late night/early morning. Nothing. Minor grumble breakfast some what limited in options. - internet fee - small and shallow pool. Walls not insulated; allowed lots of noise between rooms. Morning coffee is so weak we walked two blocks to find decent coffee. Rooms could have used a bit more storage. The elevators are well-worn and a little confusing. The exhaust fan didn't seem to work well in the bathroom and the steam frpm the shower would build up. Elevator was a little noisy and close to my room. None. Parking is tight, but it's Santa Barbra, so it's to be expected. Poor late checkout time (45 minutes). room was slightly run down looking, no coffee in room and complimentary coffee only served til 10 am. overall, too much money for this facility. There was no coffee available in the room. I had to go down to the lobby to get my morning coffee. By that time, I was going out to breakfast anyway. Waited until 4:30 for check-in because room wasn't ready No view A private party going on at night on the rooftop Hotel in need of remodel. I had the most HORRIBLE experience staying at this hotel. The staff and the hotel accomodations were horrendous. I was very dissapointed to say the very least.
