This hotel was one of the best I have stayed at in Sanibel. I have been going to this area since I was a kid and the staff and location of the hotel went beyond what I was expecting. My wife and I can not wait to start planning another trip to the island and stay here again.all reviews »
This was a perfect location for us being close to beaches, and the "Ding" darling Nature Reserve.

The staff was overwhelmingly friendly and accommodating. Marion and Cheryl(Song of the sea/sister resort), were both incredibly professional and welcoming.

did not like tiny flies that managed to get into the room in spite of netting on balcony, and no electric kettle, only two packs of creamer and two packs of coffee, we stayed in periwinkle block, shower curtain torn, from rings,.
We did not have good weather and that was no ones fault. It would have been nice to have a place to go to play indoor games. When the sun did come out there was no one at the beach hut to get us towels for use at the pool.
The restaurant was okay for breakfast, but probably needs a little more polish.

Parking is not paved and dusty. House cleaning staff woke us up at 9:30 AM and asked when we would be checking out! Coffee in room was not stocked properly. No complementary breakfast. Bath tub was slippery and dangerous. Should have non skid surface or mat.
Bikes had to be returned at 5:00. Would have been great to use them in the cooler evenings. Also, constant issues with electronic door key lock all week.

When they say 3 pm check in they mean it. We arrived early but
couldn't get in until right at 3. Drinks were expensive at the tiki
bar, but the bartender was friendly and efficient.
We weren't informed prior to booking that the pool bar closed at
7pm. We had ants in our room. One of the chairs on our balcony was
broken. Also the few times we watched tv in our room, the sound would go
in and out. The water at the beach was real murky, but I was told it was
due to a storm.
We needed an early check-in time and made that clear every step.
Reservations.. Called ahead before arrival..Arrived at 11 and was told
was cleaning room. At 3:57 I finally got key for room. 5 Hours later. We
were promised an early arrival. Dirty carpeting. Place needs updating.
Not a good value for money at all.
