Friendly staff, atmosphere. Suited our needs perfectly. Short stay in town for four college baseball games in three days so not much time at hotel. Liked the location. Drove into town to enjoy the Riverwalk dining (Boudro's is the place) one night but then got away from it.- Too crazy for us. Love love love this hotel! The staff was amazing and room super trendy. Bed was comfy and loved the layout. Great use of space and not the ordinary hotel room look! You guys nailed it! Te restaurant had the BEST sliders I have ever had! Room service was fast!.
all reviews » The facility itself was great-beautiful design, spacious room, nice amenities. The location is prime, one could walk to North Star mall and all types of food. The hotel was very clean and staff was ok, nothing good or bad to say about the associates. I love the staff ruby the girl at the lobby really make me feel like a home, a lot of travelers come so tired and without energy to the hotel and she just make me so happy. The room was big and modern and the drinks where good served. Location was great. Room was cozy. Shower was awesome. Really liked that it was located close to shopping and eating areas. Didn't have to drive to find a restaurant. Close to a Catholic Church which was a Big plus for us. Clean rooms at an excellent value. Perfect for people just landing from SAT as they have a shuttle bus. Good location to some restaurants and movies but a little bit of a drive into the city. Staff was great!. I like the fact that they have they're very own bar, swimming pool, pool table, workout facility all under one roof. I especially liked the modern look of the whole hotel. The pool and lounge areas were wonderful. My 8 and 3 year old son favorite part of their trip over the zoo and sea world was hanging out at the hotel. The hotel was clean and bright and the staff was great! The room was comfortable and clean I would stay there again and recommend it to friends. It was in a great location with lots of restaurants within walking distance and a shopping center with the shopping mall very close by. Loved the modern decor and simpicity of the rooms. Nice shower and soap products. Front desk clerk very efficient but over-taxed. The staff was so nice. They were even willing to personally drop me off at my job interview instead of having me call a cab!. Cool facilities, neat room, very modern. A/c unit auto fan setting did not work, fan ran all the time which was not necessary in March. The powder used to vaccum the rugs was very very fragrant-to the point that I got a headache. The mattress was hard and uncomfy. I am a lover of natural light and there was no "sheer" blinds, so if you opened the shade people could clearly see in room from outside (on 2nd floor). The bathroom does not provide much privacy. It is a sliding barrier door. The pool ran out of towels and we were always one towel short in the room. Access to ice not convenient. Shuttle to airport does not begin early enough - had to get a taxi. Single person at check-in to answer phones and assist guests caused some slowness. The room was always either too hot or too cold. The tv in my room didn't work. The bathroom "door" did not offer much privacy. It's a sliding barrier. Stood at check-in counter for quite a few minutes without being acknowledged. Gabby was not very personable/friendly. Odor of cleaner in room upon check-in was very strong, and borderline nauseating. Got a room right by the elevator bank and could hear the elevator going up and down. Also, careful because it was a bit loud on the second floor room because ofthe bar crowd downstairs. We eventually had to leave!. The fact that we couldnt smoke. The shower had some grime in it :(. Nice hotel, but cleanliness of the room was not excellent. It was good but it could have been a little better. Pepito! When running a pet friendly hotel....make sure the rooms are sound proof and make sure Pepito the Chi-wahwah isn't howling out wake-up calls at 6am:(. That I could only get one night at the discounted rate. There was only one staff person at check-in and there was a line of about 10 people trying to check in. The process took 35 minutes....Ridiculous!. The check in process and wait time was incredibly long. (over 3 hours and only 4 groups of people were checking in). Shower had mold on floor and walls. What i didn't like was that there was no complimentary breakfast, or a hot tube. For a hotel like this there should have been a free hot breakfast, and with such style a juccuzi hot tub. There was no lock on bathroom and no real privacy in bathroom. Big pillows. There was no microwave in the room. They were supposed to have a small breakfast however the cook did not show up and they did not do anything else for the clients. Also I forgot a razor and they did not stock a single complimentary cheap razor downstairs. I thought for the price of the room, they should carry these small amenities for their customers. nothing, we are always happy to stay here. There wasn't a continental breakfast included in the fee. Everything was a cost. Breakfast not included Music to loud in elevators... none. Only one staffer at desk. Coffee in room sucked. Hallway floors very dirty. Lounge not very clean (previous customers' drinks not removed, and the bar staff preferred to check text messages instead of doing something about it); use of plastic glasses is wasteful. Nothing. There was no hand soap and had to wait till the next morning. Bathroom was not clean. Shower had mold on walls & floor. Mattress was lumpy. Bed was too soft, but I slept well. Bedding and bed.
