From the outside, this hotel doesn't look like anything special. Once we got into the room we were pleasantly surprised. The room had been completely updated and looked modern and fresh. It was clean, comfortable, and had plenty of room. It was also one of the cheapest hotels in the area. Very friendly and helpful staff. With relatives in Round Rock, we found Best Western to be in an ideal location. The breakfast and pool were great perks and both areas were clean and inviting. Nearby restaurants within walking distance. Will definitely return on our next trip.
all reviews » It was very easy to get to band the location was great. I have to say staff was awesome. I don't remember the ladies name but she was so nice and helped me get the printer going again so i could print my family's boarding passes. I will definitely be staying again :). The staff was very responsive to requests. The first room I was given smelled of heavily of cigarette smoke. I could not stay in it and asked for another. The lady at the front desk immediately gave me another room. It was clean and the bed very comfortable. The staff was exceptional, gracious, and very attentive to the little details. Out of 5 different hotel stays on this trip, they were the only ones to pay attention to special request. Also, best breakfast offerings!. I enjoyed the fact that the person working the front desk came to my room & assisted me with connecting to wifi. I called down to mention I was having trouble & with in 2 minutes he was at my room. The room was very clean and well stocked with towels, etc.. The staff was very friendly,helpful, and responsive throughout our stay, Appreciated the daily newspaper that was available in the lobby area. -I was able to make my reservation at the last minute. -The location was within minutes of where my meeting was being held. -Breakfast on sight meant I could sleep a little later. We did not have even one complaint, everything was great. The room could have used a remodel as it was "worn" in places. Noise from the Interstate was annoying at times. It is an older facility and smells musty when the air is turned down. The pool was not set up for any swimming. A bit too much noise from the highway, however, once the fan was turned up to high, it blocked most of the noise. When the room next to us was occupied and the tv set was on - it was very loud and seemed to be on the wall behind our bed. This led to a very long night. The only negatives I would have would be the air conditioner was a bit noisy. We were staying two nights, our room did not get cleaned and we had to ask for clean towels, they apologized and immediately got us clean ones right out of the dryer. I consider these minor. The room was noisy for my taste as its just right next to the I35. A little far from downtown Austin. Narrow side parking areas difficult to navigate with full size car during peak hours. The air conditioning would only go down to a certain temperature and I like it cold when I sleep. Never did get cool enough. Can not complain about anything. the pool wasn't available. Needed a place to work like a desk. Rug needed shampooed. Free breakfast needed spiced up - same boring food as every other hotel/motel. The location was not supreme as it was a bit north of my Austin destinations but it was perfect for the Round Rock area. Paper plates and plastic cutlery at breakfast. Parking spaces were too small, some cars took up 2 spaces so I had to park away from my room and unfortunately it happened to be raining. The breakfast bar was routine, no new/different items on the four mornings we were there. What was there was O.K. but would have liked something different by the fourth morning. lime green walls in rooms. Price is too high for the location and set up. noise from interstrate traffic. Bed uncomfortable - hard and lumpy. Carpets dirty - felt compelled to wear shoes at all times. Free hot breakfast was terrible - fake eggs?. Not enough breakfast items, coffee thermos were outside breakfast room, very inconvinient, in a little computer area, breakfast room needs an upgrade, a frame, light fixture, for a great impression. Towels were tiny and worn, room wasn't the cleanest. Woke up at 5:00 am to water gushing from the ceiling in bathroom. I recieved a charge of about 100$ for "extra guests" but no one else slept in the hotel besides our planned and booked guests.. Price of $300 for one night at motel in Round Rock, tx was ridiculous. The hot water went out and I had to take cold showers. Horrendous customer treatment and poor service desk process. We were treated like criminals when the credit card on file was denied.
