This is a great hotel for a stay before or after a trip with connecting flights. Close to JFK airport, not close to the city. Complimentary hotel shuttle to and from the airport. Not really for a long stay but I've stayed here four times for my Long Island visits. Front desk very friendly and recognized me as a frequent quest. Breakfast buffet was extensive and good! I love this hotel.
all reviews » The free shuttle was waiting for us at 12.30 am when we arrived on the last leg of our flight from Sydney, Australia via Nadi and Los Angeles so it was a great end to our long journey. Reception staff were really friendly and helpful. Breakfast was ok but could be better. Room was a great size, really comfortable bed and clean bathroom. Thanks for a great stay. Front desk attendant was VERY kind (wish I had written her name down!). I thought I had lost my credit card (coming off a transatlantic flight at 9 p.m. with two young children) and she was so sweet and calming and patient (and yes I finally found the card, thank goodness!!!). Free airport shuttle was quick and free internet was a plus. We were on the way home from a 3 week trip to Europe and had a short lay over in nyc. This hotel was very easy to get to from the airport (free Shuttle) and the staff was very nice! I accidentally booked the wrong night, Bookings.com would not help me so I called the Hampton direct- they were great!. I was there with my family to attend my Aunt Funeral Service - unfortunately we arrived just before dinner and left early the next morning - but I always when traveling attempt to stay at the Hampton Inns I did take a few business cards to give to people I no who come to New York frequently. This hotel was perfect for a quick night stopover due to a long layover with flights. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were lovely, fresh and clean with brilliant decor. There was nothing that we could really complain about. The complementary breakfast was also very good. The hotel is very nice and easily accessible from the airport. Front desk staff were on point even thou we checked in at midnight. Breakfast is good too and so is the room size. Free cookies and water at the reception is a plus. When you arrive at JFK first take the AIR TRAIN to the Circle Station where all the hotels shuttle busses arrive. When you go from the hotel to JFK take care of shuttle hours. The convenient hotel for change in Kennedy, a free shuttle in the airport, very friendly and helpful girls on receptions, rather spacious, blank, good number, isn't present restaurant, but it is possible to order food or to descend in the next hotel, absolutely nearby. I knew there was some night tax, but when I got bill, I was charged state tax, city tax, occupancy tax and javits center fee coming to an extra USD 26!! Found that quite steep for one night stay. Feel that extra amount should be stated in original booking. Nothing at all to dislike. Breakfast was quite basic, but welcome nevertheless. Not much to do in the immediate area, so when we had a few hours before our flight we just stayed in the hotel. Beds were too high especially if you are short. nope. Only one thing: the a/c was very noisy. No bar in hotel. However bar in nearby Hilton. Nothing. Free breakfast not available until 7.00 am. Nothing. Not the best neighboorhood. Only way to get around is by cab - not convenient to public transporation. For me, the bed was too hard and seemed to be higher in the middle. Sort of felt like I was going to roll off it. Breakfast although free was not good. The hotel area it is good only for the people how wont to stay beside the airport. the bus need shocks. or the road was bumpy ha ha.
