It is one of the most beautiful locations I have ever experienced. I visited there in the 1970s and always vowed to return. Every tiny detail of the design is magnificent, and if I could afford it, I would stay for a month to study every tiny aspect of the place. Service was excellent; beautiful grounds; architecture interesting; other than the rooms, the common areas are very lovely;.

The biiding was very nice as it was built by the famous architect named Frank Roid. It was worth visiting. The Frank Lloyd Wright architecture was impressive. history of facility. It was a beautiful resort with so much history. I loved it and can't wait to return. It was perfect. The grounds, the service, pool and spacious rooms. Incredible luxury resort excellent staff . We booked what I assume was on a budget deal and the room we had looked out onto an extremely unattractive roof. (Room 1224). It was an obvious 'put down' when the hotel was hardly full. It would have been smarter to have put us in a room which encouraged us to come back again. The air conditioning in our room did not work; we had to change rooms at midnight; bell boy never showed to help us find our room; at breakfast the plate at my setting was dirty, furniture in rooms is worn; dust on headboard; rooms could use a remodel; not what I would have expected from a Waldorf Astoria Hotel; pleased that I received off season prices because I would have been very disappointed if I had paid full price. Nothing. The restaurant, was poor as far as the prime rib goes. No flavor and very tough. My wife had an end cut and no flavor, mine was rare and no flavor. Nice portion. Broccoli was not cooked, it was like they put it in the hot water and took it right out. Baked potatoe was good. I would not go back to the restaurant again. when we were going to use the bath tab the lid(cap) was broken and we couldn't fill the water. We called the front desk to repair several times but the staff didn't come. So we called manager several times. It took more than an hour to come. They should check before the costomers come. Poor slow service. Unattentive staff. Aged bathrooms and guest rooms. In need of an upgrade to be competitive with Fairmont. high prices, ran out of towels at pool, very long walk to self parking, very uncomfortable bed, no coffee maker in room, tour guide with thick accent, staff was rude when wife went back to retrieve lost watch. Not a thing. Very accomidating. The hallways were hot. Other then that what is not to like about this wonderful luxury resort.
